CL Quartes 2nd leg Talk and predictions :
tiki_taka 11 years ago Edited
Barcelona, France 367 9768

1st leg score 3-0 for Madrid.
Chances of BVB to qualify : 6.6 per cent. 93.4 percent for Madrid.
Prediction : RM qualification.

1st leg score 3-1 for PSG.
Chances of Chelsea to qualify : 23 per cent, 77 per cent to PSG.
Prediction : Paris Saint Germain.

1st leg score : 1-1.
Chances for Bayern to qualify : 76.3 per cent.
Chances for Man UTD to qualify : 23.7 per cent.
Prediction : Bayern.

1st leg score : 1-1. Same chances as United-Bayern.
Prediction : Atlético Madrid.

Im hoping for a Manchester,PSG and Barça qualification. But we can say for United, its Mission impossible, for Barça with Pinto and Mascherano-Bartra as CBs, we need another Messiah miracle and for PSG, they need to not concede any goal in first quarter.

Only Atletico-Barça matters for me, Madrid is already qualified, i cant see Bayern out of the CL race now, and may the best qualify between Chelsea and PSG.
Barça weakness in the GK and the defense costed us any Europeen ambitions this year, but im hoping hopefully for a double Liga Copa del Rey.
It will be very difficult for us at Calderon, because Atletico fighting spirit in front of their fans is incredible.
A mix betweens rude Football and skills.

Whats your predictions guys ?

@Wolfie

Uh, do you see the difference in the scoreline? One was 4-1, and today's one is 2-0. That's a big difference. Dortmund certainly outplayed us, and they did it well. But we still did much better this entire series than we did last year.

And if you're going to go on about how lucky RM were today, how about I talk about how lucky Dortmund were on the first leg? They could've easily lost 4-0 or 5-0. But the scoreline ended 3-0. We might go out in the semis again, but we're not going out without a fight.

PS. We might get knocked out of the CL semi's the 4th time in a row, but at least we made the CL semis 4 times in a row. At least we qualified for the CL for the last 4 seasons. How's Inter Milan coming along? ;)

And so it begins...

(By the way @Dynastian, doesn't that quote contradict what you posted in my thread? :P)

@Ven

It does, and now I see what you mean. :)

"Call me childish, but I'd rather be a child and get back at those who mocked my club than move on. That's the passion for my team". Plus, I'd rather be a hypocrite than a liar.

Especially after I saw the amount of hatred towards RM in the comments section of the 2-0 match at FootyRoom. :P

Great to see that you understand what I meant :)

I just can't stand it when my team is getting mocked when we don't deserve to. That's why I retaliate no matter how childish I seem to others. That's my passion. I can empathize a bit with Madrid fans because even though they played fantastic in the first leg, they're being called lucky for losing 2-0. It's unfair. The same went for us, we were mocked by many when we lost 3-1 and now we proved them wrong. What do we get in return though? Bitter hate despite those who showed us that hate were the ones who provoked us by posting hateful pictures.

@Ven

Both times between us and Dortmund, the winner was given a 2-0 scare. People seem to forget that we lost to them 3-4 last season, and were winning 2-0 in the second leg. One more goal and we would've been through. Same with this season. If Dortmund got one more goal, it would've been ET.

That's thing about teams like Chelsea and Madrid. No matter the result or how decent and fair we were in the match, we will always get the short end of the stick because of the fans that hate us. Clubs like us just aren't liked generally. It's something we have to go through during games like these.

@Dyna- The scoreline could have been 5-0+. BVB demolished real comprehensively. We're talking about 2nd leg what happened in the 1st is irrelevant.
Aha, bring Inter into it, huh. You wanna go there with me huh. You learning some new things from your best friend Iraqi huh? Very well. If you recall INTER WON THE CL IN THE BERNEBEU you numbskull.
OH, I GUESS YOU MISSED THAT CAUSE YOU WERE OFF LOOKING AT ATLETICO RE-RUNS TO NOTICE. A guy you supports multiple rival clubs opinions carries no weight.
I've tried to keep peace with you but you wanna have a war with me? BRING IT ON. Tell that thick head rat Iraqi to bring some more Insults too. We see how smart you really are.
@V- EXACTLY!!- This guy is the biggest hypocrite in FR.

@Wolfie

How is the first leg irrelevant? This is a two-legged game. In fact, it was the first leg that won the tie. Dortmund didn't do jack in the first leg, and we didn't do anything in the second leg. You're just trying to bend the truth to demean Madrid.

Lol, Inter winning the CL in the Bernabeu? Good job. You know your facts. In case you didn't know, this doesn't really mean anything to RM fans. Stadiums are picked arbitrarily to host the CL final. Any good stadium will be considered. ;)

Mkhitaryan has been disappointing . That is why he was a good replacement for Gundogan ( while he is injured ) and Gotze but by far not best replacement . Gundogan would have barrie most of those chances . And Reus is just superb , so cool and calm on the ball like a machine just does his job .

This fixture similar to last year fixture between these two but last year it was Real who needed just one more goal and missed so many chances in second leg at home .

@Dyna- You are the one trying to save face for a team stacked with world class players who under perform year after year. We discussed the 1st leg last week. This week we're discussing 2nd leg! This 2nd leg was no improvement from last season at all and you know it! Just pure luck real are still in the competition. 1 Bale is worth more than the whole BVB squad combined. BVB showed more heart than a bunch of overpaid Galaticos who go out there with no fighting spirit. Out in the SEMI'S AGAIN!
Sure, not winning the CL in the Bernabeu mean't nothing to Real fans.. Yeah, whatever helps you sleep at night.

@Wolfie

I'm sorry, but I don't think I denied Madrid playing like garbage tonight, now did I? I openly admitted that Dortmund outclassed us all the way.

"This 2nd leg was no improvement from last season at all and you know it! Just pure luck real are still in the competition."

So by your logic, you're comparing an entire season with one match. That logic is uncomprehendable. Last season we lost 3-4, and this season we won 3-2. By simple mathematics, one can conclude that this is indeed what you would call improvement.

To be honest, I'm not sure if you're still trying to bash Real Madrid, or just save face with flawed logic. If we make it through the semis, then Wolfie, by God's name, I will make a thread identical to @Ven's just for you. Good day to you sir. Please don't get too butthurt that RM didn't lose.

@Dyna- Real chocked against Barca 3-4. They had the chance take Barca out of the title race at HOME! Then the next game they lose to Sevilla. And guess what? They gonna choke again in the Semi's like they always do. Maybe Zidane should sub himself on and show those overpaid choke masters how it's done. Maybe you need an adrenaline injection straight into your heart to jump start your brain. You're living in a fantasy World. Next opportunity you get you fly down to Germany and go and kiss the post in Westfalenstadion because it is the only reason real still in the CL.

No. We'd need Marcelo, Varane, Ronaldo, and the 5 missing Dortmund men. ;)

Without Ronaldo and Marcelo, our offense was lackluster.

  • Hmmm well Varane did play and he was on the bench prior to that plus did not you say Pepe and Ramos make better partnership ?

Seemed to me you needed a secure defensive left back , Coentrao , more than offensive , Marcelo who sometimes can leave miles of space behind .

Also , Bale is sort of a substitute for Ronaldo . Amean just simply put a winger which Ancelotti did and Bale did similar to what Ronaldo would have done in this match .

  • Actually it is 6 players . Those players are very important players to Dortmunds team and you know that better than me . I think Real got off easy and can thank all those injuries and Mkhitaryan who probably belong to Ukraine league rather than top football in champions league .

@V Look to this.
Yes, when your team is playing well, with passion and you hear unfair things being said by haters, (in my case Chelsea fans ) each time we have a penalty, each time someone dived ( all the teams dive ), each time we won a game, excuses for the other teams and Uefalona comments begin while players did just gave a good fight...
Im not angry about your thread, that was funny and sometimes those threads are needed to say things to each others and bring life in the forum. We may want to stay as nice as possible, and i respect that, but we cant feel confortable if we are not ourselves, and its even better when people likes you when you are yourself...

For Real Madrid, they got their ticket for Semi-final, in 2014, a qualification in CL semi-final is very hard : Chelsea and Real Madrid did it, Dortmund and PSG are out thats all.
After that, to win a CL you need to be lucky, to qualify when you are not in form, to face the least dangerous rivals before Semi-final, and to score in money time in both legs...

Real Madrid out of form could be a matter if they were eleminated, they won an away game 0-4 in la Liga with their main players and they thought they would not have to use that much energy to qualify yesterday, but Dortmund showed them that it was not that easy to pass them.
Things would be different if Di Maria scored his penalty, Mkhitaryan or Cavani scoring one of their clear chances...
But no, what happened happened and 2 teams are in the Semi, so congrats and better luck for the other teams next year.

I hope Barça and Manchester United have the same luck than Real Madrid/Chelsea or at least give a good fight like Dortmund, (PSG did not even have the time to react after Demba Ba goal 88th min).

@Chelsea fans : last night was dificult for you until the end of the game, i understand your joy and your behaviour. So please next time understand other fans post-games and congrats them instead of Hating without a reason. Even if you support Atletico, AND YOU WILL SUPPORT Atletico, and i understand. Be fair in the post games comments because against City this year, and each time we qualify your Hate appears in the forum.
I have nothing against your team, but we only face Hate by Hate so hope you understood.

Look at Ibras reaction and learn a little from him..

Now, go Barçaaaaa tonight !! Cant wait...
