City's Gundogan Tribute?

He's not dead, just out for the season. Many other players have suffered season-ending injuries and this tribute seems a little odd for me. Especially from Guardiola.

This is some of the reaction...

Stefan Oluwade on Goal.com's article: "This is highly Cringeworthy. Can't believe City players have zero self respect. Didn't he just sign for the club??? They giving him tribute like some legend. Rididculous!"

So what's your take on it?

Well, its a nice gesture from the rest of the team, but yeah, I guess its a bit over the top. It doesn't help that in the pic we see them being all serious as if someone was dead, then again, there is Kolarov in that pic, not smilling is his normal face XD. Anyway, I'm guessing they are doing it to help Gundogan integration into the team, he has only been here for a while after all. But yeah, its a bit funny since it feel more like something you would do as an homage. :P Wonder who's idea it was.

They used to do this for cancer patient & guy who had a serious heart attack during a game. I guess it's bit strange, but for me it's still fine, they tried to be positive at the end of the day. It's a hard injury after all, 6+ months out when he was just 1.5 years out not long ago.
