I don't know if this man just hates Chelsea or he is corrupt referee , but record speaks for itself .

5 red cards for CFC players in last 8 games Chris Foy has officiated for Chelsea.

Chris Foy is the only referee to give Chelsea two red cards in a single game on two separate occasions in the Premier League.

I do not know , maybe he is just bad referee . And if he is bad then he should not officiate top level football . Coaches and players get bans and referees do whatever they want .

I think that Willian's red card was waayyy too harsh. It was indeed a foul but not worthy of a second yellow. But Ramires' foul was a red card in my opinion. Very dangerous challenge by him.

Mou was actually going to sub Willian off and then changed his mind, taking Oscar out instead. Tough cookies.

All in all there was some terrible officiating throughout the match. The ref was too sensitive, and was ready to brandish a card at any given second. The call on Ramires was correct though, me thinks.

That ref is a total dick head for sending off Willian. Looks like they want to make the EPL more interesting.

If u think some referee hates your team, look at how Mike Dean "loves" Arsenal.

Angry Ramires after the game.

I agree that red for Willian for bit too much and it changed whole game.

Willian's second yellow was too harsh. Ramires' red card was fully deserved. Don't know what Mourinho was doing on the pitch though. Being a manager for a decade, he should know that going on the pitch that far will get him sent off.

@Oh the irony marcus. Chris Foy doesnt hate Chelsea one bit. Is it his fault that they play to dangerously and dirty? I have no problem with it but referees have and hence why he takes appropriate action. This is so typical of arrogant champions league club fans. Look at Stoke fans for an example they were leading 1-0 at Newcastle when they got two players sent off pretty softly did you see them going around complaining about how much he hates stoke or is corrupt? No. Stoke have been shown so many reds its even incredible and they dont go around blaming the FA for being against them. Please just accept the defeat to a side who was superior to you. We got rolled over by Villa ourselves and got a man sent off. The ref had a piss poor game but most of us didnt blame him.

@Dephased

Chris Foy record against Chelsea is the title of thread . Obviously , Chris Foy has some sort of allergy to Chelsea . I am sure you did not watch the match and only few calls he made were correct , and Ramirez card was justified , but I don't know about red. How soft has football become ? Should football be non contact at all ?

I don't think Ramirez stepped on him intentionally and him stepping on his leg was also due dangerous play from Aston Villa player . I watch football highlights of 90s and early 2000s and that foul never in life would have got red !

Why noone speaks about Benett and Vlaar faults that deserves clear red... and only yellow were given?

Dude Ramires could've easily broken his ankle with that tackle. That guy just doesn't learn. He did almost the same thing to Götze in the Supercup.

Ramires red was justified, Willians not.. simple as that. Vlaar and Benett should have been sent off though. However, Villa put up a great fight and the goal was beautiful.

@keisuke and @juanmata10

I don't know, totally forgot to mention because people are concentrating on Willian and Ramires incident .

It is alright . I know football fans in EPL genuinely hate Chelsea . Some people just can't help but hate because it is their nature. For fans to stop hating Chelsea , we have to go back to being mid table , so we won't make any noise.

It looks to me We are "new United " . We have most hated coach - Jose = Sir Alex , we have the strong young squad with developing best young player - Eden Hazard = C.Ronaldo , we have referees helping us to win most matches ... oh wait not there yet , that is Machester City .

@Marcus

Ramires red card was not soft at all. He stomped on (I think it was Delph?), and he could've broken his ankle. Same thing happened with Charlie Adam on Giroud. You're free to protect Willian's decision, but the Ramires one was a clear cut red.

@Dephased

I thought you were the guy who thinks football is like rugby, so why do you complain when Chelsea play physical? For Christ's sake, don't be a hypocrite. You said it yourself that Stoke play "real" football with their physicality, then why do you criticize Chelsea's physical aspect of the game?

I did not say that tackle was soft, I said football overall has become soft . Today we have to many fouls judged too harshly and players overreacting over simple push .

It was a provoked tackle . It was unintentional . What did you all expect Ramires to do ? Fly out of his way ? It was 90th minute player barely has any power to run , but he also has to jump over dangerous tackle and to avoid stepping on his leg . I guess he should have landed with his face down . IT was not straight red , simple .

Football has become "women" sport ! It is embarrassing to see as once one of the most physical sports has become laughing stock to other sports . I talk to my friends who play rugby , and they always laugh on how players dive and simulate awful injury and referees give out cards for sissy tackles . Smh . I honestly have no argument to justify all that theater .
