Our defensive form was so godly during the first half of the season. Our form really has dipped after the walcott injury and we started leaking goals and droping points. I would argue that Gibbs - Koscielny - Mertesacker - Sagna can contest azpi - terry - cahill - ivanovic for the best back 4 of the EPL. We need to hit form again.

@Dynastian: I think it's safe to say that the three best defenses in Europe are Bayern, Madrid, and Chelsea, but credit to Atletico as well, they've got a decent defensive record.

I still can't believe that how Cech concede only 15 goals in 38 matches in season 2004-05. Last season neuer was exceptional but concede 17 in 34 matches. mourinho is master mind in any team as he score 100 goals in all season for attacking mind Real Madrid and concede lowest goals in Defensive mind chelsea

Atletico's defensive record would be a hell of a lot more impressive without that 5 goal drubbing they received from us. They, to me, have the second-best defense in Europe (only Bayern better than them atm). Chelsea and Madrid are right behind them.
