To bad for PSG's youngsters, they played very well and had more chances but i guess realism won like usual. Anyways, keep an eye on these players (from both teams), some of them might make it far ; ). And congrats to Chelsea.
Congratulations! The question now is, will any of these guys make it it to the A team?
They've been so good (atleast result wise) for past years.
This bull sh8t , they keep winning and we can't dig out quality player out of there ? GTFO ! That is just ridiculous ! Next transfer window just three big needed buys and offload the crap we have right now and let youngsters join in .
So, in case you've missed it, Chelsea U-19 have clinched their second title in the third edition of the Champions League for youngsters. After Barcelona managed to win the trophy in 2013/14, Chelsea has won back-to-back titles and is now, logically, the record holder of this tournament. On their way to the final, Chelsea overcame Valencia (with the help of a dubious decision) and, two of the best academies on the planet, Ajax Amsterdam [quarter final] and RSC Anderlecht [semi final]. Meanwhile, the second finalist, Paris SG, progressed to the final by beating Middlesbrough [whose top-striker in the U21 Premier League, Arnel Jakupovic, played at the same club, FC Stadlau in Vienna, with my mate at the age of 13 #unnecessaryfact], AS Roma and Real Madrid.
These were the line-ups for yesterdays' game:
All of Chelsea's players are England-eligible
Highlights:
Goalscorers:
Chelsea: Fikayo Tomori 10', Kasey Palmer 61'
Paris SG: Yakou Meite 58'
What's most impressive about this second win in a row, is the fact that we've done it after completely removing the core of the team that won it last year. I'm talking about our most talented and most important youngsters, who've either
Here's to hoping that some of these will eventually make it to Chelsea's first squad.
