Chelsea Vs Man City : Fixtures.

Barcelona, France 367 9768

Hardest months : October and April.

Hardest Months : January.

I believe this season could turn into a 2 horse race for the title, possibly 3 if Arsenal adapt fast with their new signings.

Feel free to discuss or to add the fixtures of your teams...

City getting strong just before their hardest month ( January ) and Chelsea loosing 2pts, I still dont see Chelsea loosing the lead unless they got affected somehow and starts dropping points...
United chasing the third place, very possible form come back from the red devils, things are getting more interesting in PL...

City next fixtures :

  • Everton ( Easy game considering Tofees form)
    - Arsenal ( Arsenal defense makes me think they will loose)
  • Chelsea ( 6 pts game if they do not draw )
    - Hull ( at home a must win )
  • Stoke ( very complicated in Stokes ground)

Then they will face Newcastle before facing Barça...

Chelsea - City and City - Barça will be something this year.

I was right about Christmas. City and Chelsea in the lead right now, others are lagging behind. United look to be the only other threat, perhaps Spurs/Southampton in time.

Probably quickzy they have the easiest second leg schedjule, unless they loose at the Bridge at City. City form was awful that time and Chelsea didnt drop many points... Anyway its a top 2 race ( 3 if United improve ) with very big advantage for Chelsea.

Chelsea play most of their big games at the Bridge, and they seem to be lethal there, but if they keep dropping points, they could live last year scenario being the best in direct confrontations between top 4 and still finishing second to a team who knows how to dominate midtable teams.

This is what happens EVERY year, in the PL.

EVERY year someone racks up a huge lead, and then other teams catch up. It may be unusual elsewhere, but for the PL? It's just standard.

That's because it's the best league in the world.

Chelsea are still my pick to win, and the Top 3 are currently just as predicted.

Well its more about top 2 inconsistence, put Bayern or Real Madrid instead of City and the league would be probably over. Or maybe Chelsea would have done way more than what they did, i remember them trying to conserve awady draw against top teams while in other league they would have no choice but win it.

So the close level doesnt show the strengh of whole teams, its just show that a league level is very close and thats a sad news for the top 2 or 3.

If 2 or 3 PL teams reach CL semi-final, that would prove that the league level is very high, wich in my opinion is very unlikely, only Chelsea has a chance.

That's a stupid comparison. real wouldn't be real in in PL because they wouldn't be as unique and thus would have a lot smaller revenue. Add to that the huge loss of income from the TV deals.

Additionally, why do PL need 2 (50%) or 3 (75%) of their teams in CL semis to prove the league level is very high? Considering there are quite a few teams from different leagues competing in CL.. that's pretty damn high. Why not say that in order for PL to be considered very good, every single team in the semis should be english?.

Furthermore, I'll create a new thread for you guys to have this discussion in because it's the same in every single thread. I'll happilly add my point of view to it.
