Chelsea Striker Situation

So right now, Chelsea striker situation is as follow, Giroud start and play the first half but end up generally being replaced by Tammy Abraham. Do you think this is good? What would you do if you were in Lampard shoes? Do you think Abraham is good enough to be a sub at Chelsea?

Michy Batshuayi, he was good in pre season.

I think they need to buy a good striker lol. The club needs a complete overhaul from top to bottom. Other than Kante, none of Chelsea's players are at the place where they can help Chelsea towards a PL title. You can't win a PL title with players like Jorginho, Pedro, or Giroud being some of your best players.

If they are content with Europa league level football, then they should play Batshuayi more often, and give Abraham some solid minutes. Play Giroud sparingly, only when it makes tactical sense to play him. Otherwise I'd focus more on development of younger players.

But ideally, I'd do a complete squad overhaul. Get rid of useless trash, and buy more quality players.

I'd rather continue on giving Tammy the minutes than splashing the cash for a high-profiled striker.

If Chelsea truly were after titles, then hiring Lampard wasn't the right move, in my eyes, unless Abramovich truly wanted to see some of his club's youths rising up the ranks this season. Tammy was impressive last season during his loan spell with Villa, all he needs now is minutes to get a feel of the premier league football, and maybe later this (or the next) season, he'll be firing on all cylinders.

Giroud much more experienced striker, so I think as longest Tammy is getting minutes on the field or they rotate, Chelsea will be fine. However, Chelsea doesn’t have many options but Batshuya has been disappointing and was given chances.

I am at upset the club because when we had experienced managers they pressured them to perform and sacrificed many brilliant young players. In the beginning of the seasons board seemed to given inexperienced Lampard comfort and full support. Now, with all these rumors circulating. People already loosing hope. That is why Lamps is playing experienced Giroud.

After the game against Norwich, I immediatly regretted saying that. :P

He is a bit awkward striker but I like that he isn’t overweight like Lukaku. Something about Lukaku heavy pace just never made me see him as supposed “Next Drogba”. Drogba was big but he was very fit and looked light on the ball, pulling incredible athletic tricks. I see Abraham following the same suit. I am glad he bounced back after that penalty in uefa super cup. He seems to have strong confidence going forward.

Despite not being prolific, Drogba played with his brain. Lukaku never struck me as intelligent, so it's probably for the best that Chelsea got rid of him. It was a mistake to think that physical strength alone was enough to compare Lukaku to Drogba.

at the moment we are building for the future, we have some of the best talented young players in Europe that will be club legends, as for Tammy I think I'm going to support him as much as Lampard will do. So for me I wouldn't mind a 90 min of Tammy.

As a matter of fact it's about time that we give a proper chance to all these young players who won trophies each year, rather than overpaid players who wouldn't really care about the badge whether if they perform or not it doesn't matter to them. We needed this. At the same time we get rid of the plastics/Glory Hunters so they can go and support City, PSG, Real Madrid or Barcelona

Abraham's first, then Giroud later in the second half. Abraham can only get better ( I don't rate him that much right now, but I feel that he is the best they have now) Giroud is the best option from the bench, that is what I would do.
