Chelsea look set to make their first signing of the summer by snapping up 19-year-old Genk goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
The Belgian side appear to have reluctantly agreed to a deal with the Blues after the player failed to turn up to training ahead of their friendly with Lyon to force through a deal reported to be around €8million according to a statement on their website.
The deal would be the biggest in Genk’s history but it appears the club are in no way happy about how the move has come about after giving their all to convince the youngster to stay.
It is likely the highly-rated youngster could go out on loan next season once a move is completed with a 5-year-deal apparently in the offing.
