Chelsea confirm loan for young trio (but Chalobah MIGHT stay!)

"Josh McEachran will go on loan and we are thinking of letting Nathaniel Chalobah go for a last season, though he is for sure, a Chelsea player and could be in our squad already."

"Of the others, Lucas Piazon will go out, Wallace will go on too because he has no work permit. And while we'd like to keep Bertrand Traore we know he might not get a permit."

Some thoughts on this:

-I seriously think there is hope for Josh! :D
-Chalobah is going to be one exciting player if Mourinho thinks he really could already be a squad rotation at the age of 18!
-Great to see Piazon, Wallace and Traore going out on loan to get first team experience.

"Chalobah, we are thinking will go on loan for one last season,’ said the manager. ’That’s our intention, he knows, we discussed that with him. He’s a very, very good player and I like him very, very much. I am very impressed. For sure he is a Chelsea player [but] he has to play every weekend for the last year of his loan period. We think he is there. He could be in our squad already. But we think one more season and his last season on loan, because he’s very good."

Mourinho is inheriting a treasure trove of players. You know this already @vendetta but I disagree about Josh but you have more than you fair share of exciting youngsters.

^Think of it this way (saw the comparison below from a blog),

"Asier Illarramendi became the sixth most expensive player in Real Madrid's history. He impressed in last year La Liga and on U21 international duty in Israel. Florentino Perez was forced to pay his release clause in order to bring him to Santiago Bernabeu. Will it pay off? Is he worth this much? Only time will tell, but there is one thing we should bear in mind and learn from.

Although Illarramendi made his debut in 2009/10, he played just 303 minutes for both Real Sociedad and Spain U21 until August 2011. He was 21 years old when he broke into first team of Real Sociedad and became regular. He managed to play 18 matches in 2011/12, mainly due injury. In 2012/13, he soon became key player in race to finish forth in La Liga and helped U21 to retain championship.

That's like 50 league appearances in total, yet Real Madrid paid 38 millions of euro for him. The patience of Real Sociedad paid off big time, because Illarramendi is one of the most complete defensive midfielders in the game and already an upgrade to Real midfield.

And the lesson we learnt? Do not write off Josh McEachran. This Illarra story is exact demonstration of Stephen article, which he wrote back in March (Be patient with Josh McEachran). Josh is only 20 years old and has plenty of time to break into first team of Chelsea. Even if he won't manage it this season, goes on loan instead, he still can become key player in future.

We all want regista in our midfield. Chelsea can try to sign one, although none is available this summer, or just be patient with Josh and he will reward us. Maybe even as soon as next season (depending on your positiveness, next is either 2013/14 or 2014/15)."

Yeah its crazy how stacked Porto was when they won the CL.

I find it funny that people point out that Mourinho goes only to rich teams. Should he manage Blackburn Rovers to prove himself. Look at Guardiola. Inherited the best team in the world, still brought in Thiago + Gomez.

I have a feeling it will be a bit tougher to break into the first team at Chelsea, than at Real Sociedad... ;)

^Not when most of our CM's and DM's are aging or most likely leaving the club. Josh could definitely make it by the next two seasons.

Speaking of Real Sociedad and McEachran....

"According to Noticias de Gipuzkoa, the Txuri-urdin are looking to bring McEachran in on loan -- if they don't sign Barcelona midfielder Jonathan dos Santos.

Apparently that pursuit is not going well, with new Barca manager Gerardo Martino wanting to keep dos Santos at the Camp Nou, so things are looking pretty promising so far as McEachran goes. I know that there was some worry over whether a move to Sociedad would be permanent or not, but from everything I can see this looks like a loan deal. And that can only be good news for Josh -- what he needs is regular playing time in an environment where he can work on his weaknesses without being crippled by them. La Liga's a perfect place to do just that."
