Chelsea, Arsenal & Tottenham (Top 4 Fight)

The EPL season is about to end with 2 matches left to go. A lot of you thought that Chelsea had the toughest remaining matches, but Arsenal are in a big trouble despite matching up against a weaker team it can be really difficult. Let's have a look at the table and standings

3- Chelsea 69 pts.

4- Arsenal 67 pts.

5- Tottenham 66 pts.

Remaining Matches:

Chelsea: Aston Villa (A) 11/05/2013, Everton (H) 19/05/2013

Arsenal: Wigan (H) 14/05/2013, Newcastle (A) 19/05/2013

Tottenham: Stoke (A) 12/05/2013, Sunderland (H) 19/05/2013

As you can see Wigan and Newcastle are fighting to stay in the EPL for next season and Arsenal will drop points to one of them somehow. It's still blurry whether Wigan is going to relegate or not they have a life or death match against Arsenal on 14th of may. The same thing could be for Newcastle.

Tottenham on the other hand have a tough 2 matches Sunderland who are fighting to stay in the EPL and the solid Stoke side. Stoke has nothing left to fight for. while Sunderland match could be a top 4 decider to go ahead of Arsenal.

Ok the last but not least, since Everton drew against Liverpool their chance to qualify for EL and end up on 5th position is now dead with nothing left to fight for so it's going to be an easy win at home. The same goes to our match against Aston Villa.

What do you guys think? Please share your detailed opinion :)

@Kambingku True that can be also added to their current situation besides the match will be at Stamford Bridge. as for Aston Villa we won at home 8-0 I don't see us dropping any points in both matches. But what do you think about Arsenal & Spurs situation? who do you think will make it?

its hard to predict, but i think tottenham may have slightly better chance than arsenal. as u said, wigan and newcastle will fight for their life. and wigan is very capable of beating anyone like last season when they tried to survive.
but tottenham wont have easy ride though, stoke away is always difficult and sunderland is still fighting relegation, plus under di canio, they seem like having more determination to win matches.
so i will just wait and see. may the best teams get the CL places

@Kambingku *Off Topic* But If you could choose the strongest 4 clubs in EPL to qualify for Champions League next season who would it be? *By their performance this season of course* and you think they would compete in the CL next season.

Seriously ? :) You think that Chelsea with all the talented players they got and the way they are playing football now you think they shouldn't play in CL? :))

Rama, sorry but you just went full retard. City secured CL and only need 1 point to secure 2nd place.

if Newcastle get atleast 1 points at sunday against (QPR) and we will win our game against Wigan, then Newcastle will survive and got nothing to play in last match so i can see us in the champions league next year and maybe in 3rd place!

i feel sorry for the spurs, i underated them at the start but they really have a good team. i don't see Arsenal or chelsea loose any point... i want to see spurs in C1 and keep Bale, spurs keep hoping. its all about Arsenal - wigan match, will be surprised if arsenal doesn't win. anyway GL all teams :)
ps : EPL should have more places maybe 5 in C1, with chelsea - utd - arsenal - tottenham - city - liverpool, every year 2 big teams at least will not participate to C1. i think EPL is not the strongest league but definitely the most spectacular one.

@tiki: well, we dropped points in stupid places, so, really I guess we did it to ourselves.

However, if we win our last 2 games, and still come 5th, we'll have racked up our highest ever points tally in the Premier League era, and still not made it into Europe. I don't think anyone has EVER gotten 70+ points, and not gotten into the Top 4, in the PL era. :/

Shows, ultimately, just how strong the league really is, and how hard it is to compete in it.
