Champions League changing?

Real Madrid 483 7140

The aggregate scores for the quarter-finals and the semi-finals of the Champions League last year were 5-0, 6-1, 7-3, 3-1, 6-1, and 3-1. Is something changing, or were the ties just too one-sided? I doubt that they were one-sided. I want feedback and suggestions on this because I have no idea why on team appears to have such and easy time while the other has been harrassed.

Real Madrid 4-0 Tottenham
Real Madrid 1-0 Tottenham

Barcelona 5-1 Shakhtar Donetsk

Schalke 5-2 Inter
Schalke 2-1 Inter

Manchester United 1-0 Chelsea

Barcelona 2-0 Real Madrid
Barcelona 1-1 Real Madrid
