@keisuke: I'm glad you were able to shed some insight on this tranfer. I admit that I haven't watched much of him but other people who follow Ligue 1 seem to share your opinion. I wonder if this is true. In any case, he still very young and may improve with the right direction. Plus he is pretty cheap (by Chelsea's standards).
@Keisuke everyone has opinions and I can't argue with you, I can disagree though. I am going to shed some history on to what you said. Many said Drogba for 26 mill was a horrible idea but he proved us wrong. We sold scott sincliar when he was young and now he is a clas player. Like footaholic said he is still young and can improve. Also, I have trust in Di Matteo so lets just hope for the best.
^Ugh, I both enjoy some of the things I said in my post and yet feel sad from other things in that past (Di Matteo).
I guess he is good enough for Chelsea in the end.
He was world champion with Spanich youth squad, says it all i think.
The fact he got injured for 8 month made people lose faith on him but i knew he will comeback but not that strong.
He is mentally very strong and he played very well until his injury, a lot of players like Amalfitano or Azpi proves that we have a good League level in France, many players are underrated there too...
Good luck to him, he deserves what its happening to him.
^Yeah, he really has come a long way since his times with Marseille, when he couldn't even get starts with them because he wasn't good enough or was injured. Now he's one of the best fullbacks in Europe and might possibly be a starter for Spain now as well.
Chelsea have made their 5th signing of the summer by signing defender Cesar Azpilicueta for £6.5million form French side marseille.
