Cavani sign for PSG

Probably the bigest transfer this seasonm Cavani will be the new adition tho PSG by the ridiculous amout of €64 million.

Personally I dont think this was a very necessary move by PSG considering they already have top class strikers and that they paid that much him instead of using that money for players to reinforce other areas of the team. PSG probably bought Cavani only to take away all the attention Monaco was getting because alll the money they were spending.

What do you guys think about this? I wanted to see Cavani in a team like Chelsea or Madrid, but money talks in the world of football once again.

You say that you'd rather see him in Madrid or Chelsea, but what's the difference? Neither of those teams really need him (because Madrid are supposedly going after someone else), and he would've been coaxed by money no matter which team he went to. No other team besides Madrid, Chelsea, PSG, and Monaco are capable of AFFORDING Cavani.

And this move may be a decent move by PSG, as Ibrahimovic is being repeatedly linked to Madrid and Ancelotti for 20.000.000 Euros. He is supposedly willing to reduce his wages as well, as long as he gets to play under Ancelotti (and against his former beloved club Barcelona *sarcasm*).

People seem to think of PSG as only a Ligue 1 team. Their ambition is to win the CL. So adding Cavani to the team makes perfect sense considering what they are after.

Want to know what PSG has besides the money they splashed on Cavani? One of the world's most beautiful cities. Same goes for Monaco. These clubs have massive appeal to anyone who is trying to play abroad. Good on Cavani. At least he's making Champions League football on top of living in sweet, sweet Paris.

@Dynastian, Madrid is looking scary impressive. If Zlatan jumps aboard I can't freaking wait to watch them play.

Zlatan would have a really big problem here, I dont know if Cavani can play as a winger because I have no idea how to use them both in the same starting XI.

Not a surprise, as expected. The question is where will Zlatan play next year ?

It's been stated that if Cavani joined PSG, Zlatan would be in his way out. Both would not play together.

Zlatan personally refused to play alongside Cavani (God knows why), but I'm guessing he wants to be THE star man. He also wanted to go to Juve at first, but apparently now that Ancelotti is with Madrid, he wants to be reunited with his former boss.

It would be a great buy for Madrid as Zlatan probably would only stay for about one year. In that time, Morata can improve and get more minutes, and we can play Benzema on the wings, or sell him. After Zlatan AND Benzema leaves (and Morata becomes first-choice), we can think about buying a new striker.

I think Madrid should learn from Barça's mistakes, Zlatan always want to shoot PKs and FKs and it will be the war with Ronaldo. Suarez or Cavani were more adapted to RM, the Zlatan i saw in France was good but far away than when he was at Italy. If PSG wants to replace zlatan by Cavani, its because there is a reason, and he will never sign a one year contract, smart enough.
For a one year contract, Drogba would be perfect.

If Ibra goes to Real, I think he'll be the ultimate mercenary ever. Juve -> Inter then from Barca to Milan. Now from PSG to Real??

All he has to do is finish his career at Feyenoord. lol

Looking forward to Napoli vs PSG in CL then... Not a good move in my opinion, PSG at the moment falls in the same category of MCity, you don't win a CL building a team with plenty of cash in 2-3 years. Chelsea would have been a better choice, if they were looking for him.
