Fabio Capello has opened talks with the Russian
football federation about taking over the national team, Russia's sports
minister has confirmed.

The Italian, who quit the England job in February, has flown in
to Moscow to discuss terms over replacing Dick Advocaat.

"Today, Capello was at the RFU where he had talks," Russia's sports minister
Vitali Moutko was quoted as saying by Russian media.

Capello would be "a good choice for Russia, he knows how to win," Moutko
added, before stating that talks with the other candidates should be completed
by Tuesday.

Pierfilippo Capello, Capello's son who also acts as his agent, said his
father was interested in coaching Russia.

"I can say that my father would be very interested to become Russia's coach.
He has always been a great admirer of the Russian team and I know that he would
be glad to talk to (RFU) officials and listen to their proposals," Capello Jr.
told the Sovietsky Sport newspaper on Wednesday.

Former AC Milan and Real Madrid coach Capello is one of several high-profile
candidates short-listed for the job. Other names on the list are believed to
include former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola, World Cup-winning Italian coach
Marcelo Lippi and Athletic Bilbao boss Marcelo Bielsa.

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini was also reported to have been a
candidate, but he signed a new five-year deal with the Premier League champions
earlier this week.

Russia hired always coaches who aren't Russian. They have to search a good guy in their country first. or like in Euro,, they will fail hard in 2014.

lol @chelsearox,maybe that is what english tabloids said..but we know that they usually write a lot of bullcrap. btw,if this happens...start shitting in your pants because Russia had really good phisical and technical potential. they just need a coach with balls-of-steel.
