I don't usually post memes, but this picture is very deep. It can be used in a lot of different ways in football and what fans feel about something.

Like "Wenger hasn't sign any player yet?"

I don't get why eveyone's skeptical about Ben Affleck being the new Batman...
He's a great actor and I can easily see him playing Batman.

I'm not a big fan of Ben Affleck but it was the same about Heath Ledger for the joker and finally Ledger's Joker is my all time favorite, he was perfect, so, we will see for Ben Affleck...

The only question I'm wondering is why are they doing another Batman movie... Nolan's trilogy was awesome, and I clearly don't understand why they make another Batman movie now, I'm really tired by the lack of originality at hollywood, adaptation, sequel, remake, always the same bullshit and nothing new and original...

@nesten
I agree with everything you said about Heath Ledger. But, I don't get why you think this is "unoriginal". This is a combination of Superman and Batman. That's amazing.

To be honest, I don't think we should really criticize the people in the realm of superhero movies. I personally don't think we have any credentials to say why are they making a new movie. That's like a basketball fan saying s*it about football. There's tons of fans of these superhero movies just like fans of football.

Isn't this movie only being made to make way for a Justice League (the Avengers of DC) movie.

@Man_utd don't get me wrong, I like superheroes movies, but I also like to see new heroes, new stories, I'm tired to see always the same stories remake again and again, like the new spiderman last year, what was the point of this movie... I love cinema, and i'm really sad to see that in 15 years the quality and originality falls almost to zero for the big productions.

You can't just make up superheroes.... The reason why people like super hero movies is because it touches on their past when they saw it only as a comic. Unless you want some weird super-hero like Aquaman. I have no idea why you think originality has fallen "almost to zero". But I feel now this conversation is steering away from the point which is Ben Affleck being the new Batman which I think is gonna be good to that the quality of movies has gone down.

@Man_utd

I'm just sad to see that the only movies that get fundings those years are only super hero movies, sequels to that super hero movies, or adaptations, or even useless remake of those same super hero movies, cinema was very much original 15 years ago, everything wasn't based on movies that were already made before, the film industry created more original contents. Will they make two new Spiderman, Batman, Xmen, etc every years during the next 100 years ? Or will they try to create something more risky but 100% original. The actual film industry is no so much about making movies anymore, but about making profits...

I'll stop that because, you're right, it's realy off topic with Ben Affleck as Batman.

For those of you interested in listening to my opinion, I have no problem seeing Ben Affleck play Batman and I think he will deliver!

@netsten, the lack of originality in these superhero movies is only due to consumer demand. Consider Nintendo for example. They've been making Mario games for 32 years and yet people still pay for the game. But you have to admit, Marvel has taken a different route since 2008 (starting from Iron Man I) in focusing more on the human aspect of superheroes and the complex nature of evil, which gives their films an extra dimension the viewers can appreciate. I find it quite refreshing and definitely don't mind it for now.

@Joe-Manchester, lets just hope his acting does not resemble anything from Daredevil.

I agree with you, it's based on consumer demand, which I think is sad, I think they are making movies for sheeps, that's why I think they are making movies for the masses and for making profits and not for making original films anymore. I'm not the lambda consumer, and that's probably why I have a bad opinion about the film industry right now. For me Marvel died when Disney bought them, I like the first Iron man, the second was not SO bad, but the third is really bullshit to me, strong visuals, but incredibly poor story, it's the same for the Avengers, and almost every sequels of super hero movies.

Now about Ben Affleck, I don't know if it's the right choice, it's not in my opinion, we'll see, but for me the idea of making a new Batman now, just after the brilliant Nolan's trilogy is already a bad sign, and I'm pretty sure it'll be another useless movie.

@netsten, I agree. The transitioning in Iron Man II was hellacious. I've yet to see the third one, but it can't be as bad as Spider-man 3 surely. Very few sequels and trilogy films improve though, like you said. Hopefully Nolan won't disappoint. I still think his second best film is The Prestige (after Dark Knight). I learn something new every time I watch it and definitely recommend it.

The Prestige is a brilliant film, I recommend it, and Memento is a masterpiece, I recommend it twice :)
