I think Pep is still trying out different techniques and formations at Bayern. He's tried a 4-3-3 and a 4-1-4-1 this preseason, compared to Bayern's usual 4-2-3-1. Basically, Pep is trying to get the best out of his players in a free-flowing move. What he's also done is enact that pressuring policy that made his Barcelona so successful. Barca's decline in Europe after Pep left can be chased down to the fact that Tito Vilanova isn't as serious as to hunting the ball back down when they lose it as Pep was. If Pep can successfully establish this as well (which he's doing brilliantly so far), I think he's going to be big at Bayern.
I can' t wait to see Bayern way of playing involved by fast passes and short spaces technique.
