Gabriel Batistuta (his nickname is Batigol) is now officialy in Fiorentina's Hall of Fame! He was one of best players of Violas in 90s,maybe in whole world.In 269 apps for Fiorentina,he scored 168 goals.Amazing goalscorer.He was so happy that he even cried (you can see that in video). Congrats Gabriel!!!

Incredible Striker!

I used to love that Fiorentina team of 90s. Toldo as a goalie and the duo Rui Costa & Batistuta were a blast to watch. Seeing Batistuta on Fiorentina's scoresheet was like Crespo for Parma, Signori for Lazio/Boglonia, Alan Shearer for Newcastle.

Ps. His Italian is pretty good, but no wonder, he was there for ages. Pretty awesome of him to thank the people that taught him Italian, and helped him when he first arrived in Italy.

What a player! Shame he never won anything meaningful with Fiorentina. Glad he got to experience glory with Roma though. Very humble and loyal player. One of my all time favorites.

I used to watch him at Fio when Serie A at their prime time before Moggi scandal. Batigol was the example of a truely striker, a beast...
