So Rodri took it away in the end. Still very surprised by this results.

I honestly thought Vini would be the winner but guess having Carvajal and Bellingham so high in the list took some vote away from him.

Thoughts?

Everyone including fabrizio expected vini to be the winner until the last day. This suggests corruption and that rodri was not the real winner.

No one was thinking about rodri let alone thinking that he may win it. This makes ballon dor even more of a joke than it is. They can't even justify rodri winning at as if we go by their criteria then carvajal deserved it the most.

This truly feel similar to the Modric situation a couple year back. Honestly, I don't think its a question of corruption as the BO is voted by plenty of different journalists with their own agenda, I think its more of a case of people being biased against Vinicius. I think he got treated especially poorly because of his lack of impact in the Copa. Honestly, I don't disagree with you that Carvajal might deserve it more if we really are giving more importance to international competition. All in all, this show the BO is a glorified popularity contest and that we propably shouldn't give it as much credit as some of us does.

On the other hand, I disagree with Real decision to boycott it as a whole. I would have no problem with Vini not going but honestly, all the club saying no despite them winning many award is not a great show from them.

Finally, I do feel for Rodri a bit, he's not exactly underserving of winning the BO, it just that Vini was expected (and pherhap also deserved more) to win it. Seeing people threatening Rodri and telling him he stole the award from his rightful owner isn't fair at all to him, even if I understand the deception who really wanted Vini to win it.

Well deserved

And I don’t think Vini deserved it more.

But that’s just my opinion.

It's definitely surprising, as Vini Jr.'s rise has been impressive. However, Carvajal and Bellingham's strong performances likely split votes from Real Madrid fans, giving Rodri an edge. His consistency and crucial role at Manchester City may have earned him broader recognition across all fanbases. Writing a paper while juggling other responsibilities felt impossible, so I sought help from https://academized.com/write-my-paper and Their service was straightforward, and the writer they assigned was a true professional. The paper was insightful, well-researched, and delivered before the deadline. I even received praise from my professor. This service was a lifesaver, and I’ll definitely return for future assignments. Highly recommended!
