there is no doubt that bale is a world class player but at the moment there is no place for him in madrid coz he can't play as LB coz we have Marcelo & Coentrao ! also , he can't play as a winger coz the RWF is for CR7 nobody else while in the LWF we have Di Maria which is very good too ( bale my become di maria's substitute ) oh wait , this would be great coz many times di maria isn't in form so bale will be amazing substitute for him in such conditions and this is the only place for bale in madrid but he should fight for it to be in the starting 11

Bale is a wonderful player & diver. He will fit right into Spanish football.

But seriously guys, some of these comments aren't realistic. First of all, Bale is NEVER going to play fullback again and he sure as hell wouldn't go somewhere where that'll be his position so that's that.

Secondly, as someone has mentioned, he isn't good enough with both feet (yet) to play on the right. Therefore, Di Maria is safe.

Lastly, and most importantly, it wouldn't surprise too many people if Ronaldo left soon. Why? 1- Mourinho is DEFINITELY going this summer (the writing's been on the wall for some time and if you don't believe it then you haven't been paying attention). 2- From what I've heard, I don't think he's the most popular guy in the dressing room (especially amongst some of the old guard). 3-He is having contract disputes regarding his image rights. It seems Madrid don't want to include any on his new contract and that is a BIG chunk of money we're talking about.

Thus, if Ronaldo goes, Bale would be an excellent player to help fill his position.

@lodatz: ahahhaaa. Speaking of which, I wonder where he's going to end up. Can't really think of anything off the top of my head. Rumours are L'Pool were interested and that he was a boyhood fan but I can't see them paying that kind of money and (with respect) are not a step up. Could he be vacuumed up by the Chavs?   Wonder what you think.

@Footaholic: About Walcott, you mean? It's really hard to say. I don't think Liverpool would be a step forward for him; Aresneal are still a much better team than the Reds. However, I don't honestly think that Chelsea or Man City need/want a pacey winger, right now. Man Utd might be an option, but, ultimately where would he fit in? The odd thing is, football-wise, I think the only decent 'other option' would be Spurs, who would make great use of him rotating with Bale and Lennon, but we all know he'd never cross the North London divide directly.

So, seriously, I think he's either going to stay put at Emirates, or head to another league. Germany might suit him quite nicely, and he could be a good long-term prospect to replace an aging Robben at Bayern?

I also think you're right about Bale and Real Madrid; unless they lose Ronaldo, there's just no real room for him, and while I could be accused of being biased, I really do think his best option is to stay where he is. If he guided Spurs to a 3rd place finish, and maybe a semi-final in the CL next season, his value would double, and he'd have his pick of new venues if that's what he really wants.

I just hope he stays at the Lane long enough to take us to the next level.

Real Madrid don't need Bale they need a RB to replace Arbeloa who isn't all that great.

True indeed, tdot2barca. We need a right back more than anything else right now.

Maybe not exactly a step forward for Walcott if he moved to Liverpool, but definitely not a step back. What are Arsenal fighting for this season really? They have almost no chance of winning either the CL or PL and I say this with the utmost respect. Chances for the FA and Carling cup are the same for both clubs. I'm sure if he moved here his salary would the same or higher. Liverpool are showing signs of growth. How many times have we seen great players move to those clubs that were in a less successful situation and then ultimately benefit because the club promised improvement. Liverpool has as much history of success as Arsenal, so Liverpool are always a good bet, especially nowadays.

@tdot2barca , your not a madridsta so keep your opinion to your self because Arbeloa is doing alright..

Bale is a great player but i don't think Madrid need him. He would play second fiddle to Ronaldo all day long. He should just stay with Spurs. He's got great chemistry with the players there already.
