Yeah, it was a nice goal, but I hear that his overall performance in the match was garbage. This was probably the only contribution he made all game. But I guess this is why we bought Bale. He can change the game in a couple of seconds, but he needs to work on his consistency if he really wants to be one of the best in the world. :P

@Dyna , Calm down bro he is getting better. Spanish football is kinda new for him. You cannot expect a Welshman score every week for a Spanish giant club. But its an amazing brilliant goal ;)

@Iraqi

I do not expect him to score every week. I expect him to perform. He's the world's most expensive player, and I think I am justified in him replicating the form he showed in November. He's been absolutely anonymous since then. Misplacing passes, not completing dribbles, losing possession..... that's not Gareth Bale.

@dynast "I hear that his overall performance" does it mean you don't watch your team's games ?

@KingHenry

No. It means that I live in a country where the time-zone is 6 hours off from Spain, and when Spanish matches are played in the afternoon in Spain, I am busy sleeping or busy at work (as was the case today). It means, "I have a life".

Congrats for the first place, i didnt see both games either, but i checked the score in my phone while i was watching a movie with my gf, that ruined my night :) didnt watch the end of the movie as i was refreshing results every 2 seconds :(.
Congrats anyway, Sociedad seemed to deserve the win, they got their revenge from the copa elimination.
Nothing new here, we didnt win at Anoeta for 8 years now.
Screaaaamer from Bale....

@Iraqi

Canada. In Toronto.

Canada itself has 5 or 6 different timezones as well, because it's the second-largest country in the world. For example, I believe Vancouver (on the very west coast of Canada) has a 3-4 hour difference from Toronto, and Toronto itself has a 6 hour difference from London (and therefore, all of Spain).

@Tiki

Thanks mate. :)

I watched the entirety of the Barca-Sociedad match. It seems interesting that Madrid lost in all of their visits to Andalusia last season, and now Barcelona has lost in all their visits to the Basque country this season. Sociedad dominated most of the match, and pressed very high. I felt that Barcelona did not have the motivation to win. I think that if they were more inspired to get a result out of this match, they could've gotten out of there with a win.

We cant always win, its not exciting other way :). They need to loose so we can get reaction. Piqué s behaviour makes me sick, he is talented and strong, but he is no longer as professional as others. He does not deserve his teammates, he made an amazing performance against City, and looks like a kid against Sociedad WTF ??
I understand now why you are connected late in the night, i thought you were insomniac like me :)
I sleep only 4 hours per day, i cant sleep more :) I know im strange...

This goal reminds me of when Bale scored the goal against West ham last season where spurs won 3-2.

Canada, especially Toronto, is one of the most diverse places on the planet. There's people of all cultures here.

@Dephased

I do support Canada, but Brazil will always be in my heart.

And whys that? You off Brazilian heritage?

@Dephased

Canada doesn't have much of a football team. Here, we're all about hockey. Even though our national sport is lacrosse, Canadians go nuts for hockey. We won the gold medal for women's hockey this Winter Olympics, and are in the final for men's tomorrow. If we win tomorrow, we'll have gold in both men's and women's hockey.

I support Germany because I had a lot of exposure to their national matches. My heritage is from southeast Asia. I do not have a drop of German or Canadian blood in me.

@Dephased I am from the U.S. and like a typcial noob when i first made an account on FR, I wrote the National Team i support is U.S.A. You can only guess where that went. Whenever I didn't know something or said something wrong, I got replies like: "typical american" or go eat burgers, or whatever. So i finally changed it to the team I feel have a big chance to win the World Cup. I supported Spain all the way ever since the Euro 2008. I have doubt that Germany will win the World Cup becaues they usually choke in finals or semis, but yeah. I don't support national teams die hard through thick and thin. I support the team which I think is the best. However, for clubs it is not the case.
