Actually, Marcus' predictions are fairly realistic.

Spurs will be up for it, and have beaten you every time you visited us for the past 3 seasons. United have already beaten you this season, and City have begun to find their groove away from home too. As for Chelsea? Mate, I would not want to play at Stamford Bridge this season.

There's room for a goal or two here and there to alter the prediction, but, other than that? It's pretty reasonable.

Ok marcus keep all those predictions in mind, you guys also got tough games city away in epl, liverpool away in epl and you never know you may slip vs a small team. I will be gloating in your face if we get through february/march on top so dont come to me with silly excuses that we got lucky or blah blah because we are ready. Also i dunno why chelsea is a champions league contender. Theyre squad aint good compared to Barca,Real madrid or Bayern cant see chelsea gettin past round of 8.

@Lodatz the Arsenal right now has nothing in common with the Arsenal you beat at WHL last season. It's precisely just after your game that we turned into this super solid and consistent team.

Also one of the reasons I don't agree with these predictions is that It's near impossible to score 2 goals against us. Except for the City game, and the Aston Villa game, no team scored twice against us. Chelsea at stanford bridge could score twice, but Tottenham and Liverpool ? They'll be in mertescielny's back pocket.

I just can't understand why would you write United off as weak team . They have problems but they are still top club. Every manager prepares to face United side and expect top side to come out . Amean it does not happen lately but you never underestimate the club that won EPL Last season with same squad .

Please buddy , City does have a poor away record but I am sure they will way different at Emirates . Top teams take top teams way more serious thus performance and concentration much more higher . I do agree that City has a shaky defense and their full backs so far are more effective at attacking rather than defending . Anyway , if Arsenal beats City and Chelsea that won't be just crucial 6 points but it will boost moral and desire for title . City away has beaten Bayern with half second squad and Chelsea has finally found the balance and consistency . If dis balanced and inconsistent Chelsea has beaten Arsenal in first half of the season , I think in second half it will be a calm routine .

I just do not see Arsenal surviving this next 2 months without loosing at least 10 points . In this close title race , it will be vital .

You dint need to beat top teams to win epl just try beat teams you are supposed to like the bottom 10. Just face the fact we are first because many teams love us being trophyless to mock us but we have been the best team in epl this year no argument because simply we play the best football. The transitional period of Arsenal has finished we wont sell top players to rivals and strengthen massively in next 5 years and get back to the top like the old days

This isn't anything new. We knew this was going to happen from the day the schedule was first announced. It just so happens that we added 2 difficult cup matches in the mix.

I don't know what will happen. Not today, not next week, not at the end of the season; but I will say this:

No matter what happens, I have been so proud of our team to have been top of the league from pretty much the beginning of the season and having stayed there despite being constantly underappreciated and underestimated. I have been so surprised at our performances and that alone is enough to fill me with optimism for the future.

As for those who are dismissive of teams such as Chelsea or Liverpool or City or whoever else... they would be wise to not tempt the fates. I agree that Chelsea and City are favourites. I mean, they SHOULD be. Their squads are vastly superior to ours and they have outspent us almost 5 fold. And now that it looks incrrasingly likely we're going to be without a second forwards for the rest of the season things are looking even tougher. BUT, that just makes where we are all the more satisfying. We're the underdogs but I don't mind that. I just hope we can give it a good go.
