Arsenal Transfers

West Ham United, England 16 204

In recent seasons Arsenal have started to get some financial freedom and paid some big money for the likes of Sanchez and Ozil, due to the payment of The Emirates finally ending. With Arsenal set to finish in the top 2/3 and a rise in money coming from TV they will have a massive pot of money to spend.

Obviously they need a quality holding midfielder and maybe a class goalkeeper. The goalkeeper looks set to be Cech because I can't see Iker going anywhere yet, so that position has sorted itself out. Now for the holding midfield role, personally speaking for some reason I can see Pogba ending up at Arsenal.

Pogba has already stated his intention of leaving Juventus soon and unless they win the champions league which I doubt, I believe he will hand in a transfer request at the end of this season. Arsenal have been known to recruit french players also they have consistently qualified for the champions league, have a stable manager, great stadium, are based in London, possibly won the FA cup two years in a row, had a little bit of a title charge over the last few years and have amazing players such as Ozil and Sanchez. All of these factors say that he might go to Arsenal especially if French players help persuade him past and present (Giroud, Debuchy, Henry).

You guys might say but if he hands in a transfer request other clubs are more likely to offer more cash than Arsenal and buy him instead. I thought the same but then I realised what the problem with the other teams are.

Real Madrid - Have too many midfielders already, possible a transfer ban
Barcelona - Personally don't think he suits their style
Man United - Doubt that he would go back to them
Chelsea - Also have too many midfielders
Liverpool/Dortmund - Haven't even qualified for Champions league
Man City - Only reason to go there is for money so I also doubt that
Bayern - Don't even think they are interested (probably are)
Italian side - Doubt he would stay in Italy or Juventus would sell him to a rival
PSG - Based In France but I think he wants to move to play in spanish or english league
West Ham - We just can't afford him and allardyce would ruin him

Apart from PSG I can't see anywhere else other than Arsenal, if Arsenal did manage to get this done then I think they could really pose a threat to Chelsea next year.

'' Barcelona - Personally don't think he suits their style ''

I think you are a little wrong, he is made to play for Barça, very hard to take the ball from him, has an amazing vertical play, great vision, wont be inferior technically, with Busquets they will get the ball from rivals legs quickly.
Juve just refused a 70M eurs offer from Barça, Pogba will cost a lot.

'' Real Madrid - Have too many midfielders already, possible a transfer ban ''

Madrid could buy him just to not see him leave to Barça, they did the same with Isco while he was obviously not Mourinho style of player, thanks to James and Kroos arrivals who made Carlo adopt a technical style.

He is a Man Utd fan since he was a teenager, if he goes to England, United is the most possible destination.

I cant see Gunners doing all these economies through years to splash +80M on a young player, his price is indecent...

I would probably go For Moutinho-Abdennour if i was Wenger, some Italian players too if Napoli or Fiorentina are keen on selling, i would also suggest them to buy from Spain with attractive prices and WC quality even if i dislike this fact.

Unai Lopez ( 18yo Bilbao ) or Saul Niguez ( 19yo Atletico ) are incredible defensive mids, Gaya ( 19yo Valencia ) in the wing to play instead of Monreal...

Even segunda division in Spain provides a lot of players, Ayoze ( Newcastle ), Leo Uloya ( Leicester via Brighton ), Vitolo ( Sevilla ), Spanish formation centers are doing very well in recent years...But you can find jewels in la Liga top flight.

Offer to Javi Martinez a good Salary to leave Bayern and his sub position could be also a brilliant move, with Pogba price Arsene can do wonders, Pogba and his price is for a team who needs to complete a piece of the puzzle, Arsenal have some players to replace to compete in England and even more players to change for Europeen competition: Exit Monreal, Merte, Arteta, Flamini, Schezny, Diaby...
I would sell half of their English players for Huge amounts typical in England : Chambers, Ox, Wilshere, Gnabry, Welbz...
Selling 3 of these would get you +80M minimum, keep the most motivated 2 of all these names, buy Pedro and Nolito and pair them with Sanchez...
Bring Moutinho at any cost, splash 35Mil on Lacazette or Jackson Martinez and Arsenal are champions ( Should have been a Football scout tho :D )

It would be fantastic to have Pogba in our team, but I doubt it. He will probably go for La Liga.

Why Arsenal needs another goalkeeper? We've got Oooooooooooooospinaa, it wouldn't be fair to bench him when he's doing really great.

@tiki Forget about Nolito & Pedro, Arsenal are alrdy full of wingers and no need of mediocre players. I've already seen your argument about Pedro, so no need to explain that again, but I say again he's totally mediocre.

You got a point in selling those players and replace them with even more QUALITY. Quality over quantity.

Nacho's made MASSIVE improvement this season, been superb. I hated him before this season, seems like he got his confidence now.

I'd still buy the same names I've been mentioning always > Varane, Javi Martinez & Suarez/Benzema (I know FCB or RMA won't sell them, but pay big). Just guesses what these players would cost: Varane (120k a week?) 30m, Javi Martinez (130k a week?) 40m & Benzema (160k a week?) 50m. = 120m

Guess how much Arsenal could make by releasing wages & all the transfer sums we could get by selling the players tiki mentioned already. A lot.

Nolito and Pedro arent mediocre, they are underrated, i actually would love to see Nolito at Barça, not being known specially in England doesnt mean they are mediocre and well Pedro will show his worth after leaving Barça there is no doubt for me about it.

Varane wont leave Madrid, and Madrid isnt selling even for 80M ask Chelsea, so here again we should consider the attractivity and realism in transfers or you end up with no signing at the end...
Would Suarez wants to comeback to England ? Even if So, how much do you think he will leave ?

Same for Benzema, if i had to sign any player ignoring if the team wants to sell or not then lets go for CR7 and Messi, Neymar, Gotze.... here again i tried to be realistic.

Barça were keen on signing Thiago Silva/Marquisio, they spent 2 years bidding and bidding and ended up without defensive signings, realism in transfers is very important.

Pogba can play in any team he wants to, and Arsenal are not economically the best option. RM, City, even Chelsea or Barcelona have the first choice as usual with any talent like him. Why would he want to go to Arsenal if he can go elsewhere? The only opportunity Arsenal has is if they are the only ones the bid for him. PSG as you said seem the most likely destination.

Yea, because we don't overpay players with 300k/week we're not economically best option. Didn't even knew that City got "economics" lol.

@tiki Thiago Silva & Marquinhos (I believe you mean him, not Marquisio) would've been perfect for Barca.

I don't know really. At this point Arsenal shouldn't be "realistic", because as said 1000 times we've been stuck for 10 years being realistic in transfers and got really huge amount of just basically 'great' players, when we'd actually need more than just 'great' players, TOP CLASS players.

I know about Suarez, there's no reason for him to leave. The guy just would be perfect for Arsenal.

If I need to say more names (or in your words have more realism), then Kondogbia or Schneiderlin for CDM role, Lacazette or Benteke for ST and no signing at all for CB (Chambers, Koscielny, Gabriel & Merts). But I'd rather go with what I said earlier.

I meant Marquinhos, for Suarez he was linked to Arsenal 2 or 3 years ago, but Arsenal didnt wanted to pay a big amount, he could have signed for 45Mil.

Arsenal are in the right direction now, they won FA cup last year, they still have a chance to win something this year and they would probably end up 2nd.

@Tuanis I already said in my post why he could go to Arsenal, have a huge backing of french players, economically they are very stable, based in the capital and will always be in the champions league.
