Argentina legend has criticised Casillas

He has since accepted the blame for the defeat, and Argentina legend Maradona says the performance shows Mourinho was right to favour Diego Lopez over the 33-year-old.

"He had the worst game I've ever seen in my life...and it reminds me of what my friend Mourinho told everyone about him," the 53-year-old told Telesur.

"He said Casillas wasn't the right keeper and he paid for that. He had to leave, but in the end it turns out that Mourinho was right."

Sergio Ramos was also criticised in the aftermath of the game and Maradona felt the Madrid centre-back lacked in pace against Arjen Robben.

"He beat him in a race coming from five metres behind," he added.

Casillas and Ramos will hope to make amends when they face Chile in their next Group B clash on Wednesday night.

See this why I love this guy . He is hardly wrong about anything that he says . He can play for the media and be arrogant , but whenever he spits he spits the honest opinion on something , he is spot on right .

Not mentioning whole season because Casillas was given task of CL . However, Casillas fck ups almost cost Real in the final of atletico for sure and now it was against Dutch .

Mourinho was like always spot on about his decline .

@Marcus

"And if you think Marodona is crazy old fool then I assume Ancelotti is as well for picking Casillas only for CL and Copa del Rey matches ."

Comparing Ancelotti's managerial reputation to Maradona's? LOL, wake up kid. Ancelotti is one of the greatest ever managers in European competition, and Maradona is a failure of a manager who proved his credentials with Argentina in 2010. Ancelotti's decision to play Iker in only cup games was widely criticised, but that's what he had to do in order to keep peace in the dressing room. And as far as I'm concerned, both Iker and Diego were satisfied with their chances in the first team.

"that match alone already damaged his "brilliant " season in Madrid . "

You're judging a player by one match? Casillas conceded 11 goals in 22 games across the Copa and CL, and kept an incredible 13 clean sheets. Coincidentally, the two competitions Madrid won this season had Iker Casillas as their goalkeeper. The competition we lost had Diego Lopez as goalkeeper. I'm not saying Lopez is a poor keeper, but that Casillas is simply better.

"I never said , Mourinho Is never wrong or can't mistakes ... You need to stop putting words that i never wrote here . It is your favorite thing to do or you just do it unintentionally ? "

Oh, but that's how you act. Is it your favorite thing to do, or do you just do it unintentionally? ;)

First of all do not ever call me a kid . It is a smirky insult and I think we been talking about this before . Learn some manners and etiquette when you address me otherwise do not ever address me . And if you going to keep insulting , I would like mods here to watch the forums more carefully . Because I see how selective mods are on this forum . They talk about trolls and disrespectful users but yet nothing ever gets done .

Second of all , only reason why Ancelotti gave back Iker playing time because of pressure from media and fans that was already there before he was taking the job . Ancelotti never liked to go against board or media or fans . Diego Lopez was enjoying his form and Ancelotti found reasonable solution to satisfy everyone to put Iker in CL . ( which I think still was not fair to Lopez because it damaged his confidence and probably why he dropped form , no one is rooting for him , he is like villain in Madrid )

Third of all ,

You can think what you want . What matters is what I write on this thread . I did not write it and that is all that matters , but yet you constantly pull stuff out of your mind about me . Keep it to yourself . I have my opinion about who you are and how you act , but I only respond to things you write currently in this thread . So, think twice before you write something , it helps , trust me .

ooh yeah forgot to mention

Just because you do not agree with someone's opinion does not mean you should call him old fool and moron , I am sure just in past hour he accomplished more then you ever dreamed off . And What he says actually matters to millions of people around the world.
I simply stated that Ancelotti's opinion about Iker was not any different then Mourinho's or Maroddonas .

You're insulted by the word "kid"? Maybe you really are one.... O;)

So you completely ignored my argument, and went on a rant of etiquetter and manners, despite not having any yourself. I guess that means I won this argument. :D

"So, think twice before you write something , it helps , trust me ."

Practice what you preach? ;)

You turn it personal always . Calling someone a kid , is basically saying they are immature and incompetent to carry argument . Learn to keep it neutral and not to attack someone personally .

I am not denying the fact that Iker had a decent season , all I am saying is that it was not magical season and his in decline .

I turn it personal? All I've been talking about in this entire thread is Iker Casillas. Stop going on pointless rants on manners! You lost this argument!
