" give Juve and Conte one more year and they will be in CL final."
Oh come on. Let's not get carried away. The only win they got last season in the CL was against Copenhagen, at home. The year before? They whipped Celtic in the last 16, but then got their asses handed to them by Bayern. I respect hugely the current Juventus for what they've done domestically, but they were hardly on the verge of conquering Europe.
I agree its a shame, though, because if they lose Vidal, Pogba AND Pirlo (in a couple of years' time when he just can't do it anymore), Juve may be in some deep trouble. Trouble which might be helped out by 90-100m of transfer money, of course.
And with that, I'm off to bed, before arguments (inevitably) happen. ;)

There was an article on how Conte would have been a better choice for Manchester United. But I think Van Gaal is more experienced.
@Lodatz
what tuan wrote was actually the plan. perhaps they would not win the CL 2015, but if the board would do what they promised we would see Juve among the best 4 clubs in Europe. the board built their campaign promising to strenghten the team so they could manage to do better in Europe. evidently it was all a bluff and that's why Conte left. furthermore, they made the announcement just few hours after the season-tickets campaign ended. disgraceful.
It seems official now...
Roma champions of 2014-2015 Serie A
^ :'D
when i read it i couldn't believe it. they say it was Galliani sending him to destroy Juve from the inside :'D
Juventus have announced that their coach, Antonio Conte, has had his contract terminated by mutual consent.
Conte, who had won three consecutive Serie A titles with Juve since joining from Siena in 2011, was widely reported to have told the club at the end of the season that he wanted to make sweeping changes with a view to mounting a serious challenge in the Champions League. Under Conte, the furthest Juve have progressed in the Champions League has been to the quarter-finals in 2013.
It is not immediately clear why Conte has been allowed to leave – he said only that “right now I’m thinking about the present” – but there are suggestions that he will succeed Cesare Prandelli, now manager of Galatasaray, in charge of the Italian national side.
The 44-year-old Conte announced his decision to leave in a video interview on the club’s official website – just a day after the start of pre-season. Juventus also confirmed Conte’s decision to step down – citing mutual consent – with the chairman, Andrea Agnelli, saying he was saddened by the news and hailing Conte as “a great leader”.
Conte, who had signed a new deal through to the summer of 2015 earlier this year, said time had caught up with him at the Turin club and that the moment was right to bid them farewell. “It may be more difficult to keep winning with Juventus,” he said.
His departure will increase speculation about the future of Paul Pogba and Arturo Vidal at Juventus. The former Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini and ex-Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri are already being linked with the newly-vacant position at Juventus.
A former Italy international, Conte made more than 500 appearances for Juventus and won five league titles as a player with the club. His successful connection with Juve continued as coach, as he won Serie A at the first attempt and his side went unbeaten throughout the league season.
A second title followed, but he became him embroiled in a corruption row after he was charged with failing to report attempted match-fixing during his time with Siena. Conte pleaded his innocence but was subsequently banned for 10 months – a sentence reduced to a four-month touchline suspension in August 2013.
He returned to the dugout midway through last season and led Juve to another title, the 32nd in their history.
On Tuesday, Antonio Conte shocked the Juventus fanbase by stepping down from his position as head coach. There has already been much speculation that the move was caused by a disagreement with the Juventus board over the sales of their two most valuable players, Arturo Vidal and Paul Pogba.
The Italian press have already been reporting that Vidal is bound for Manchester United, in a deal that will net the old lady a substantial return on their investment. Jose Mourinho hasn't been shy about his admiration for Pogba though, and it seems to be only a matter of time before the internet explodes with rumors of an agreement sending Pogba to Chelsea*.
Is it too early for Manchester United to celebrate signing Vidal and for Chelsea signing Pogba? It looks like it’s gonna happen now since Conte refused to sell Vidal and Pogba to anyone 1 week ago and called the other fans that they are living in a fantasy world. But apparently the board wants the sell and Conte resigned.
