Sanchez 14/15 vs Di Maria 14/15. What type of question is that?

Di Maria has more assists, but Sanchez is just better.

Well, it was stupid by Di Maria, he have to forgot that he's no longer player of Real and just can't do that.

Fergie days are long gone . Dark days for United players . They will have to stop diving . Referees don't buy it .

^ not defending di maria but the only justification for his dive is maybe he was trying to get some protection from the referee as was the case in la liga from heavy pressure and handling

but apparently he wont receive such protection in english football

Di Maria should be ashamed of himself.. First he dives, get a yellow for it, and dares to complaint to the referee.. Started pulling the referees shirt which is when he got the second yellow and got sent off. It was well deserved and pretty much destroyed United chances of bouncing back into the game! So unnecessary.

@enjoyneer

I did not see nothing atrocious about Arsenal tackles on Di Maria . Correct me if I am wrong . I just think Di Maria forgot he is in EPL now .

Apart from the assist DI Maria , did not show anything worthy of his price tag . His crosses , runs and so many bad touches ... everything was just not what world class player is about . In such a big and special match , Arsenal and United are big rivals , he actually let United down with his antics . He is building himself a reputation that he will regret for rest of his EPL career .

In all fairness, he was being pulled by the Arsenal player. But that’s common in EPL. He went to the ground too easily, and deserved a card. He should be used to this physical play by now. This was an entertaining game besides the simulations towards the end. United played physically, nothing wrong with that. Kudos to Arsenal and Wenger.

I think what is even more painful , if i was United fan , is to see outcast Welbeck score a winner . 16 million is what Arsenal paid for Welbeck whose goal may lead them to another FA trophy . That is the bargain of the year , IMO .

"Welbeck is not the standard required at Manchester United.' - Louis van Gaal, Sep 11, 2014.

As far as Di Maria , I think he was fine , not great until that red card.

His shooting accuracy is ridiculously low and in this match he did not improve it neither .

I don't know why but when a player like Di maria and Ozil left Madrid they started to play half their game. Its not the same in Madrid. Di maria was one of the most dangerous wingers in the world and was even considered the third best player in the world, Ozil had incomparable vision and creativity on the midfield, he was the main asset in our classicos and 2012 la liga. But now both are no better than Jese and fellani. I dont know but Both teams need the two players to be back on their 100% form ASAP.

For the red card it was well deserved, he dived than complain was a bit pathetic most of the time its dive than smile or say a few words dive and shove that's a bit low.

@rayrex I disagree completely. I think you should look at just Özil's stats to see that he's the EXACT player than he was at Real Madrid (I watched La Liga A LOT during 2010-2013). He still feels like he doesn't care (when in reality he does, it just looks like he doesn't), not the biggest name in big games, though few glimpses (in RMA & Arsenal).

Of Di Maria, I think his best year was last year, which made him look like he's been absolute world class for 4 years.

Also, a big factor is that La Liga is not as good, nor strong defensively as BPL. You can't just run past people every time, you might actually get tackled, and you might not also get freekick for diving, which Di Maria has always loved. (Sorry for bringing this endless La Liga vs BPL debate, it was inevitable in my explanation)
