DIDIER DROGBA VOWS TO BUILD FIVE HOSPITALS IN HIS HOMELAND

The Galatasaray forward has the funds to complete this dream project. The Foundation’s secretary, Guy Roland Tannoh revealed the plans for building these hospitals.

Tonah said, “The gala held in London helped us raise $ 2 billion CFA francs ($4 million),”

“The other 500 million francs ($1 million) will no longer be a problem to see this project come to reality, which has been Drogba’s greatest heart desire”, he added.

The five hospitals will be built in five cities of Ivory Coast namely Abidjan, Yamoussoukro, Man, Korhogo and San Pedro.

According to reports, the veteran striker claimed that the 3 million pounds needed for the very first hospital project were earned from his image rights for Pepsi.

Drogba is said to have opted to leave medical studies to pursue a career in football.

Nevertheless, his love and desire to serve humanity remains resolute and hopefully the project will be completed soon.

Just another reason to respect this man. DD11, Forever a legend.

I've felt for a long, long time that Drogba is one of the real Good Guys in football. Glad to see he's getting the recognition for it.

Lets not forget he stopped a civil war in Cote D'ivoire. A civil war that was going on for 5 years as the country was in hell.

It's a very nice thing he's doing but he does earn million of euros per year so that wouldn't really affect his financial status. But it's the thought that counts!

Didier : a great player, very shy and respectful. was loved in Guinguanmp, Marseille and Chelsea.
my best moment in his career is his last CL won, against Barça and Bayern.
I still don't understand why he left Chelsea ?

@rama: Some haters only looked at his diving on the pitch and never mentioned the massive amount of good deeds that overshadow his diving. But it's toned down after he has gained a legendary status.

@tiki: I actually am happy he left now. He left in such a perfect way that I would prefer he wouldn't become a Chelsea player ever again!

@man_utd: That is true, but you don't see many football players donate as much as Drogba. With the five hospitals he will build, he has already built one last year. And as I posted, he stopped a freaking civil war! He is treated like a savior in Cote D'ivoire. No player has ever matched Drogba's good deeds and charity works.
