Never matched his previous success at United, but he did manage to do, like, all this, and more...
+1 Not bad at all.
I always had alot of respect for Beckham. Easily the best crosser of a ball. Plays for the team. A shame what happened that led him to leave for Real..
Man, sometimes it is really unbelievable that 03/04 team -Zidane, Figo, Ronaldo, Raul, Beckham.. Was it a case of too many cooks spoil the broth. On paper that team should have won everything.
That debut.. 2nd goal is really special.. Beckham to Zidane. Zidane assist to Fenomeno. That's fantasy Football right there.
Respect to him staying there and working hard to get back into team under Capello and win that La Liga title. Beckham is a great example a world super star who sets good example.
Zidane to Beckham before he retired: "It has been an honor to play alongside you". When the great Zinedine Zidane says that to you.... you know you're something special. A great player, Beckham. Was never the best where he went, but always had one of the biggest impacts.

In the light of recent discussions about midfielder skill-sets, here is a chap who doesn't get as much recognition as he should have done:
Flicks, one-two's, roulette, 60-yard passes, dangerous crosses, hitting woodwork, free kicks, key passes, good tackles and a goal.
Not bad for the new boy, eh? ;)
