I didn't watch the whole thing, but for someone who just came into the EPL, he has done extra-ordinarily well.

You should man! Everything in here is mind-boggling minus the poor finishing at the end of his passes >:)
I've said all season long that Cazorla is Arsenal's best player. By far.
And you wonder why EPL teams don't look into Spanish talent more often... ;)
@Dynast: sure they do. It's just that a lot of the Spanish teams have learned to charge the earth for their players, and only a handful of clubs can afford those fees.
Other teams have to shake their head and move on, unless, like Arsenal did with Cazorla and like Swansea did with Michu and Flores, they find a real bargain. Other than that, it's literally no different than looking to the other leagues across Europe for players, in terms of quality.
Spanish midfielders have become something of a specialty item in the world of football, but it's not like PL midfields are reliant upon them -- Belgians, Brazilians and good ol' Englishmen seem to making up the mainstay.
@Lodatz
You can blame the Spanish FA for that. They make it a mandatory law that all La Liga players have a buyout clause in their contract.
Honestly speaking, if I were a manager of a La Liga team and I didn't want to let go of my players, I'd make the buyout clause as ridiculous as possible (Illara had a clause of 32 M Euros, Thiago of 90 M Euros, and Ronaldo of 1.000.000.000 Euros). :)
Cazorla went to Malaga for over 20 Million Euros in the summer transfer window 2011, he was no michu
^^ and to Arsenal for 16m pounds, apparently. I didn't realize he'd cost them that much; I thought it was around 12m euros, which I would have classed as a total bargain on par with Michu.
16m pounds is about a fair price for him. But it also is not the ridiculous fee that, say, Real just paid for Illarramendi. ;) It's still a bargain by comparison.
compilation of Santi Cazorla's first season as a Gunner.
It just came up on my recommended videos section and it's too good not to share.
Enjoy!
