@nandaYNWA Agreed, what a great transfer window Borrusia Dortmund has been having. Its really great and I hope they manage to get some great results next season. What I would love to happen next is them signing Schurle, I know he might not be the best player in the world but I alway enjoyed him since WC 2014 and to be sincere, I think it would be great to see him play with Gotze.

Also, it seem Liverpool will sign Wijnaldum wich is a great news for them even though they might not have really needed him. Still happy to hear he won't end up playing in a lower division wich I will propably not follow. I hope that doesn't make me an egoist. :p

@quikzyyy Yeah, Gotze and Schurle to BVB. What great transfer that is. Well, ok, Gotze feel like a better one since he was cheaper if I'm not wrong. Anyway, I feel like those two will be able to find their form back and play at the top level. Man, I'm really excited for BVB next season, their team is looking better by the week. I'm curious to know your opinion on this, and any other Arsenal fans.

I was having a "discussion" with an Arsenal friend of mine yesterday about Giroud. I was saying that Arsenal needed a better striker and I got back the usual points of "he scores lots of goals, look at how he was for France, blah blah blah." Eventually, the conversation devolved a little bit and we looked at the Arsenal squad in general. My opinion after talking with him is that nearly the entire Arsenal squad can be represented by Giroud. With the exception of Ozil/Cech/Sanchez, and maaaaaaybe Kos, the entire squad fits roughly in the Giroud package. Just good enough that replacing them is worth a considerable argument, but just bad enough that they should be replaced.

I mean, who would you actually replace out of this starting 11?

Ozil - Giroud - Sanchez

Outside of the four other players, Bellerin had a fantastic first season, Monreal was solid, Ramsey had a fantastic Euros, and Coquelin has been the spine of a team that has deeply needed one. The only player it seems obvious to replace is Gabriel, and even that would merit a discussion.

Is the majority of the Arsenal squad at fault? Who do you actually NEED to replace? What upgrade would be enough?

Juventus : best team in the transfer market, hands down.

@tiki Agreed, especially considering they will manage to weaken two of their direct rival it this keep up.

@Sun Well, as you said before, the performance of a player in a international tournament should not influence how he is treated in his team, so I don't think we can really say Ramsey is sure to start to be sincere. Beside, you do realize it would a miracle if those eleven player were fit and not injured at the same time. ;P More seriously, I don't think they NEED to replace anybody but they definitly could have some more debt and better option. It would be nice if those player could be consistent as well since they seem to get hit by bad form from time to time. Also, they could get a better striker than Giroud in my opinion but that doesn't mean I think he is bad.

Also, Jordan Lukaku signed to Lazio, I hope he suceed there and get a move to bigger team in the future. ;)

1. Gabriel is not good enough for starting XI, and who do we else have then? Oh, Mertesacker, 9 out of 10 people will never know how is this guy still in Arsenal, and then boom, Wenger makes him captain, while board says this team is ready to win premier league. Don't make me laugh.
2. Ramsey? No, simply no. He has been terrible whole year except EUROS, where he played totally different role. Cazorla up
3. Giroud, once and again, how many years are we shouting for another striker? I'm not even counting it anymore. Did nothing whole transfer market, then last minute panic buy Welbeck, and even he will miss probably whole next season.

So yeah, here we are, making Mertesacker captain and besides Giroud we have the mighty Sanogo.
