The only problem with Arsenal is that they've got a small team mentality. But actually for a small team they would be doing fantastic, sadly that is not the case.

Its irrelevant imo, only the Net spent matters, Arsenal sold much more players than all those clubs you named.
To be fair, they had a big club transfer window for only 2 years, there was a '' before Ozil'' and after Ozil in their transfer window management.
But its not an excuse, they had to spend when needed and not let the gap between their rivals grow.

The amount of great players he has bought for ridiculous price.. (in a positive way) ;-)

The invincibles starting XI cost:

Lehmann - free

Lauren 7,2m
Kolo 0,15m
Campbell free
A.Cole free

Gilberto 4,5m
Vieira 3,5m

Ljungberg 3m
Bergkamp 7,5m
Pires 6m

Henry 11m

That's just 42,85m - the same amount of money Özil cost alone :D But obviously transfermarket was whole different back then, although tbf Zidane joined RMA (IN 2001) for 75m (euros).

André Santos was a great LB why did Wenger let him go?

@Iraqi

Lol, Santos was sh*t. He didn't perform at all for them. Had no defensive awareness whatsoever.
