I thought it would be fun to address topics/issues that are current in the premier league and get everybodys opinion on them!

remember: everyone is entitled to their own opinion

Leicester

  • are they genuine title contenders?
  • will they finish in the top four?
  • where will they finish?
  • can they do this for a full season? (suggested by sunflash)

Chelsea:

  • Where will they finish?
  • what changes are needed to salvage their season?
  • will mourinho still be their manager at the end of the season if they fail to get cl football?

Arsenal

  • are they title contenders?
  • will injuries force them to only get a top four finish?

Manchester City

  • if pellegrini fails to win the title will he be replaced?
  • if they win the title but are eliminated from the cl will pellegrini be replaced?

Liverpool

  • will they make top four under klopp?

Manchester United (suggested by louis van gaal)

  • Where will they finish in the EPL this season?
  • Will Rooney find his form?
  • Will they start scoring?

Everton

  • can the "fab four" (lukaku, barkley, stones, deulofeu) inspire them to a top four finish?
  • or will their lack of genuine quality all over the pitch inhibit their chances of european football?

Leicester will finish fourth as I believe either Vardy or Mahrez will get injured this season and cost them big time.

Chelsea will finish mid-table and Mourinho will get sacked at the end of the season. I think it is too late for them to recover their season and they will fail to make any big signings in the January transfer window making them stuck with their current squad. (which is not that good)

Although I hate to say it, Arsenal are clearly title contenders. They proved this last weekend when they were able to manage a solid win even though half their team was injured. They will finish second in a tight title race losing to City by a couple of points.

As I mentioned in the Arsenal section, City will win the title in a close race. Pellegrini will still be sacked as result of a poor champions league display and Guardiola will come in and be a beast. I say City will win the Prem because they have by far the most complete squad. Even with so many injuries right now they seem to be such a strong force. (Although they did lose to Stoke).

This may surprise some people but I do not think Liverpool will finish top four. They proved to be vulnerable against Newcastle and I still think Klopp needs more time to adjust to the EPL. I also think fitness will be an issue as I believe Liverpool will win one of the english cups this year and will go very far in the Europa League and maybe even win it. Just my opinion.

P.S. I think this is a great thread but each topic should be a bit more broken down into different threads. I also wonder why the heck Man Utd is not included here. They are so many issues regarding the club and their season that should be discussed.

Will they start scoring?

How long will LVG last and who will replace him?

Will Rooney find form?

How will the youngsters like Memphis and Martial perform for the rest of the season?

Will LVG have to change his philosophy or will it miraculously work out?

How will they figure out their UCL situation?

And most of all:

Where will they finish in the EPL this season?

Please let me know what you think as I would like to have a good discussion. :)

I think the main question regarding Leicester is: can they do this for a full season? Personally I'm still sceptical, as the top of the prem hasn't changed without a massive influx of money since as long as I can remember, but Leicester have more points in the last ENTIRE YEAR of prem than anyone going back into last season. Will they win the title? I think City would have to screw up for that to happen, but screw it. Leicester will be top four at minimum.

I keep saying Chelsea will come back and find their mojo. I'm sick of being proved wrong. Wouldn't it be a laugh if they were relegated?

Arsenal does this every year. Why should this one be any different? Fourth.

City. No team in the British game is as good as them right now, and they should win the league. But they won't. Because they've been literally handed the league by the United/Chelsea/Arsenal/Liverpool's of the world and they just won't reach out their hands and grab it. Stoke, really?

I still think Liverpool, like United, have to realistically look to next season for the real promise of their respective rebuilding projects. But I'm also scared of them, what they did last week in the cup was a display I haven't seen in a very long time from a Liverpool team, not even when they finished second a couple years ago.

United, sheesh. Would I prefer to watch uninspiring, rather be punching myself in the balls soccer, but finish top four, or watch exciting, fast, end-to-end soccer with more opportunities to win but also lose? I think my answer now is different from what I would've said at the start of the season.

if pellegrini fails to win the title will he be replaced?- Yep

Leicester

are they genuine title contenders? - I don't believe so, although I'm seriously impressed by their efforts.. They've got some big games coming up now, that will define whether they're good enough to be top of the league.

will they finish in the top four? - Honestly, i don't think they'll make it and my guess is they'll finish 5th or 6th in the end.. Would happily be proven wrong on this though, as it goes to show how competative the BPL is.. The mid-table teams have proven again and again how strong htey are, while the big teams have been fairly weak this year.

Chelsea:

Where will they finish? Now, this is a tough one.. Most people have been waiting for things to turn around and there have been moments that have been looking brighter lately.. Hazard and Matic being in form again etc.. But then all of a sudden comes games like that against Bournemouth.. which makes me loose pretty much all hope.. In the end of the day I think it's just a matter of time before things get turned around. With that said, I would be happy if we finish 7th.. and that is also my guess.. 7th or 8th..

what changes are needed to salvage their season? - I've got great faith in Mourinho and I still think he's the key to turn things around. He's been trying so many variations and strategies.. Even benching Costa in favour for Hazard on top etc.. And every week the media has got a new scapegoats.. It has been Mou himself, Ivanovich for a while, Costa, Hazard.. and now latest everything is Fabregas fault.. And honestly, fabregas hasn't been playing well, so I'd start off by benching him.

will mourinho still be their manager at the end of the season if they fail to get cl football? I think he will. The only option i could think off is that Ancelotti would come back.. and I wonder is he wants to come manage a sinking ship.. Then again, look at Dortmund a season ago.. Things will turn around eventually..

Arsenal

are they title contenders? Yes, they look really solid, but City will beat them narrowly to the title in the end..
will injuries force them to only get a top four finish? Injuries will be the reason they do not win the title I believe..

Manchester City

if pellegrini fails to win the title will he be replaced? Yes.
if they win the title but are eliminated from the cl will pellegrini be replaced? Yes.

Liverpool

will they make top four under klopp? Nopp. Al though Klopp is great and a fresh breath into Pool he'll need more time to get things working 100%. I believe they'll finish 5th.

Manchester United

Where will they finish in the EPL this season? 3rd.
Will Rooney find his form? Yes and No. He'll be better but his best days are over..
Will they start scoring? More than now, yes. Because that's almost impossible not do do. But I believe they'll be far from a goal machine this year.. and narrow wins will continue to follow them through the season..

Everton

can the "fab four" (lukaku, barkley, stones, deulofeu) inspire them to a top four finish? No, but it can inspire them to a 8th or 9th finish.
or will their lack of genuine quality all over the pitch inhibit their chances of european football? Yes, that's exactly what they lack

Leicester
The deciding factor in where they will finish has to be what they will do in the transfer window. Mahrez and Vardy have been on fire and lead them to the top. If the board allows Reineri to make transfers based on new objectives then they could maintain top 4 even claim the title, based on how inconsistent City and Arsenal are.

Chelsea
Their only hope this season has to be CL (and even that is in jeopardy) and the FA cup. Other than that I can see them finishing around 9th. I think too many things need to be changed in a short time span which is very very hard to do. Firstly Chelsea need to sign a very good CM to pair up with Matic because Fabregas has to be benched. The strikers are also pretty poor only converting about 10% of the shots they take. I would cut Falcaos loan and sign a better striker. Its hard to replace Mou when there arent many top coaches available so I can see Mou sticking it out for one more season.

Arsenal
They will finish top 4. I think the biggest problem is inconstancy and not injuries. I still think Wegner needs a DM to cover Coquelin.

City
I think Pellegrini will be replaced regardless of what he achieves this season. Guardiola seems to be headed to EPL and theres no way City would let him go to Chelsea Arsenal or United. I think they can finish top 2.

Liverpool
After January we will be able to see where they will finish especially since Klopp will get to sign the players he wants and replace players that arent that great. I think they can finish 5th just because of the competition. Its his first season so he really doesnt have a very demanding objective.

United
Im sure LVG will get them to a top 4 position. I mean they arent so bad defending, just awful attacking. All the hype around Martial died down and now you can see the extent of Uniteds problem. Injuries will force LVG to sign another LB which they dont really need once Rojo and Shaw come back.. I could sell Rooney to free up wages and a spot on the team. He is past his prime and really looks average. He lost his deadlines as a striker and is an above average midfielder.

Everton or Spurs
Honestly no one has paid enough attention to Spurs. They have gone undefeated for the last 14 games or so and their only loss on the EPL was to United by a very unlucky own goal. The draws theyve gotten this season would have been defeats in previous seasons. I think once they fully get the philosophy down they will be good enough to challenge the top 4.
