I've thought for a while with my mates that it'd be really good that when at the end of the league season, if 2 or more teams are with the same points, the system would go like this:
- Top 4 would be with "head-to-head" system.
I don't think it matters if u can win relegation teams 7-0. What matters is how you play against your rivals.
- Relegation battle would be goal difference.
I've seen over the years in La Liga that relegation teams have rested their key players against Barca & Real Madrid, 'cause they know that in La Liga it doesn't matter if you lose 7-0 or 9-0 to them (because it's head to head currently)
Relegation teams would do all they can against big teams rather than give up in the 1st place.
- Positions 5-16 I'm not actually sure which would be the best option, but the 2 I mentioned above I am 100% on that side.
I'd apply these to La Liga, Bundesliga & BPL, given I'd have any "say" on things one day :-)
What do you guys think, which system OR mix would be the best thing to apply - WHY? Please give your opinion :p
