"The UEFA EURO 2020 final tournament will be staged across the continent after today's UEFA Executive Committee decision to hold the event in various major cities throughout Europe.

The UEFA EURO 2020 final tournament will be staged in various major cities throughout Europe, following a decision taken by the UEFA Executive Committee at its meeting in Lausanne on Thursday.

The decision to stage a "EURO for Europe", rather than a tournament in one or two host countries, follows an initial idea revealed by the UEFA President Michel Platini in June."

Great! Opinions?

Stupid. Just a game for money now isn't it. Also it will affect the players because of the jet Lag.

It's a great idea but like rama said, the players will be badly affected by the amount of traveling. Then games will probably be boring because of low form. People wont buy tickets and then you guys can continue the snowball effect from there.

Not great.. It's more convenient having the whole cup in one country. People can't afford to travel to multiple countries. It's just gonna be a hassle on everyone.

It's another fucking retarded brainchild of UEFA. One of the best things about a football competition is the atmosphere. When, for a few weeks, fans from all over the continent converge on one location to create a massive party. This will only dilute the atmosphere. Top that with doubling the amount of countries involved and you have ruined the upcoming EUROS. Kudos UEFA. Kudos. Hope the money is worth selling your souls.

Can we just find a way to get rid of Platini, and appoint Cruyff instead? There's a man who loves the game for the game.

Actually, I think it is a great idea. If there was any corruption or stuff choosing one country or 2, at least every country that didn't host before show their love towards football.

At first I thought the idea sounded great. However, after looking at some of you guys' viewpoints there is going to be a lot of problems around this. As many of you mentioned there will be way too much traveling, which leads to jetlag and again that the pace of each game will be lower, money will be a central factor for people to have, the atmosphere turns totally different etc.

On the other hand, a foundation like UEFA must have thought carefully about this - they are after all an enormous organisation. Though, we all know it's about the money in the bitter end. If this really works out it will be a gold mine because of all the traveling.

Jetrush is also a problem for fans , though.

So basically it's this:

For the teams - Different teams moving to different countries = like you said, players will be affected by jet lag = life threatening issue.

For the fans - Fans around the world will have to watch games are different times of the day due to different time zones = disrupts the fan's daily task routine = same thing with players - not good for our health.

and because of these reasons, it is a total waste of money and time.

Seriously, wtf is Platini thinking? Apparently all the European nations were supporting this idea, except Turkey. Seriously, are people that retarded nowadays?

Actually I know why Platini wanted this to happen: because he doesn't know what country will host it. Anyway Euro 2016 is in France.
