Despite what media and agents trumpet all over the papers, most deals are done very quietly. It makes me wonder how different the sport would be if some of these deals (and other countless unheard of ones) had gone through.

Lucas Moura price tag is 40 millions euros if i remember...
^ Moura is worth 1/2 that at best imo..
Muller would have been the best buy of all of these ... Could have been the new Giggs.
I am pretty sure QPR close to sign Lucas and made their offer 8 mil pounds but PSG signed him for 45 euros .
West Ham United were close to signing Neymar with 16 million pounds but were short 80 ... bummer ..
Now if we have a list of who Wenger almost signed ... that will be pretty much every player
Just for the sake of it. I would have been curious to know how Ronaldo would have turned out playing for United .
He would have probably never broken his leg because Roy Keane would have knocked the crap out of anyone who tried to do it .
He would have joined Real eventually but it would have been good memory for united to have both Ronaldos in one decades . Both one of the greats of all time .
Well... No regrets, we got a bunch of fenomenal players during SAF's era. Aguero would have been nice though. Nothing to do in those cases.
Petr Cech
“I went to see him in 2003 for Rennes. We thought Petr was a bit young for the bruisers in the Premier League.”
Lucas Moura
“We offered £35 million but Paris Saint-Germain signed him for £45m.”
Raphael Varane
“In 2011 I hurtled down to Lille. Zinedine Zidane got wind of this and somehow scooped him up for Real Madrid.”
Didier Drogba
“We went to check him out [when he played for Marseille] but the club wanted £25 million and Chelsea moved in for the kill before we had made up our minds.”
Thomas Muller
“He was a 10-year-old when we heard about him. We had him watched and the following day he committed himself to Bayern Munich.”
Sergio Aguero
“His agent was demanding a price we were not prepared to pay [before he joined Manchester City for £38m.”
“We wanted to sign the Brazilian striker from Cruzeiro in 1994, but we could not get a work permit and he went to PSV Eindhoven.”
