I think to be fair, third best should go to a whole host of players. They all play different positions and have different playing styles, so it's hard to judge who's behind CR7 and Leo just like that. I'd say the list should include:

Andres Iniesta
Andrea Pirlo
Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Wayne Rooney
Robin van Persie
Radamel Falcao
Bastian Schweinsteiger
Franck Ribery
Gianluigi Buffon

And there's many more, but after the obvious shoo-ins it turns into an opinionated debate. :P
