10 FOOTBALL PLAYERS WITH THE MOST TROPHIES
shahaan16 7 years ago
Manchester United, Pakistan 1 3

10. Gerard Pique - 29 (ManUtd & Barca)

The Spaniard is only 30 and has already won a sum of 29 trophies. Ever since his return to the Catalunya, Pique has added an incredible 25 trophies. The Barcelona boy still has a few years up his sleeves and may even end up on the top of the list if he continues to win trophies at the same rate.

9. Andres Iniesta - 30 (Fc Barcelona)

A player for the occasion. Iniesta is currently 33 years of age. This guy has put in the man of the match performance in so many finals that it would be sad if he didn't make it our list. The Spaniard is arguably of one of the best midfielders to ever step foot on the field.
He is, in fact, the most decorated Spanish footballer of all time whether you consider his exploits with just FC Barcelona or with both club and country.

8. Lionel Messi - 30 (FC Barcelona)

We all know that he was going to make this list. Arguably the GOAT. Lionel Messi has won a ton of 30 trophies with Barcelona since coming on as a substitute on July 1st, 2004. At just age 30 the Barcelona prodigy is making headlines after headlines. His quick feet make it impossible for defenders to catch him when he's on the run. He scores whenever he wants to and doesn't mind assisting a fellow team mate every now and then.

The 5-time Ballon d’Or winner has won everything that there is to win in club football but the lack of an international honor still haunts him and he will be looking to set the record straight in Russia next summer.

7. Victor Baia - 30 (Fc Porto and FC Barcelona)

Not many would have heard the name of the former Barcelona and Porto Goal keeper. The final survivor at Porto when the Portuguese club were plundered in 2004.

The Portuguese international spent most of his career with Porto barring a two-year spell with Barcelona. Baia won 25 trophies with the Dragons while adding another 5 during his stint with the Catalan giants.

6. Zlatan Ibrahimovic – 31 (Ajax, Juventus, Inter, Barcelona, Milan, PSG and Manchester United)

We all know who this bad boy is. Zalatan Ibrahimovic needs no introduction, introduction needs Zalatan. One of the most deadly goalscorers of the era, the Swede has conquered almost all of Europe. With wining at least 1 trophy every season since leaving his native country Sweden in 2001.

Despite having one of the best careers in the history the Swede may end up retiring without a champions league trophy unless The Red Devils put up an extraordinary show in this years league.

5. Kenny Dalglish - 31 (Celtic and Liverpool)

Known as Kenny King racked up an impressive 31 trophies during his club football career with Celtic and Liverpool. The Scott arrived at Liverpool with a Record transfer fee of £440,000. He was worth all the money as he repaid this sum numerous times as a player and then as a manager.

He also went on to guide Blackburn Rovers and Celtic to domestic glory as their manager.

4. Dani Alves – 34 (Bahia, Sevilla, Barcelona, Juventus and PSG)

Dani Alves left Barcelona with 23 major honours in 8 years. The 34 year old right back still remains the best at his position. To think that Barcelona allowed to let him leave on a free transfer will certainly go down as one of the worst piece of business carried by the Catalan club, especially given that they failed to replace him with a proper alternative – which contributed heavily in the woeful season that they had.

3. Ryan Giggs - 35 (Manchester United)

The Manchester United prodigy was one of the most decorated footballer for a long time. He has won more trophies than all but three clubs in England, having won an unprecedented 35 trophies during his long and illustrious first-team career.

The Welshman made an impressive 963 appearances for The mighty Red Devils an lifted an unbelievable 13 trophies during his career - A par not matched by any other footballer in the world.

2. Oleksandr Shovkovskiy – 36 (Dynamo Kiev)

Only a few players have made over a 100 Champions League appearances in the history of the competition without winning it. Along with Gianluigi Buffon and Zalatan Ibrahimovic, Oleksandr Shovkovskiy might never win it. The 43 year old will have to comfort himself with one of his 14 Ukrainian Premier League titles instead.

1. Maxwell -37 (Cruzeiro, Ajax, Inter Milan, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain)

Not Pele, not Paolo Maldi, so who is it.

From his Copa do Brasil victory with Cruzeiro in 2000, to his most recent success with PSG in the Coupe de France on Saturday, left-back Maxwell has carved out an unlikely reputation as a serial trophy hoarder. Not many would have expected the 37 year old would lead the charts, given that the world has witnessed some truly magical footballers but despite their skill and talent none could match the trophy haul of the Brazilian.

The Brazilian has won an outstanding 37 trophies during his 17-year-long top-flight career which started with Cruzeiro in 2000.

The Portuguese sensation, the 4 time Balon d'or winner has only won 20 tophies so far, 17 less than Maxwell. But this does not mean that the Brazilian is a superior footballer it just shows that the Brazilian has been a part of some of the most successful football teams on the planet.

Honestly, I thought Ronaldo would be on that list and either Pele or Giggs would be first but after weeks of research, I was actually kind of disappointed.
