Xavi Named the Reason for Griezmann's Departure from Barcelona

Barcelona's manager, Xavi Hernandez, has named the reason for forward Antoine Griezmann's departure from the Catalan club.

"We decided to let Antoine Griezmann go solely because of the financial situation; the club was forced to let him go. Griezmann is a player I really like, but he left precisely for this reason," the specialist's words are quoted by journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Barcelona signed Griezmann from Atletico in the summer of 2019 for 120M EUR. Four years later, the Catalans sold the Frenchman to the Atletico for 32M EUR, including the rental fee.
