Vardy to Leave Leicester City at the End of the Season

Footballer Jamie Vardy will leave Leicester City at the end of the 2024/25 season after 13 years with the club, according to a statement on the English Premier League team’s official website.

Vardy is 38 years old. He joined Leicester from Fleetwood Town in 2012 for £1 million. During his time with the Foxes, the striker became a Premier League champion, FA Cup and Community Shield winner, and a two-time Championship title holder.

"Vardy's achievements are unmatched in our 141-year history. No other player has been more closely associated with the incredible successes we've had during this time, with nearly 500 appearances and almost 200 goals. Jamie’s final game at King Power Stadium will take place on May 18 against Ipswich Town, where he will bid farewell to the fans," the statement read.

Following the season, Leicester City — Premier League champions in 2015/16 — will be relegated to the Championship.
