Valencia fans reduced the footballer to tears. But the president of La Liga disagrees with the criticism from Ancelotti!

Real Madrid lost to Valencia at Mestalla. But that doesn't bother anyone. The main highlight of the match was the racist insults that escalated in the second half. The result: tears from the Madrid striker Vinicius, a fight, and a red card.

Vinicius was insulted by fans throughout the entire match. In the end, he decided to respond.

The Brazilian was not warmly welcomed at the Valencia stadium. Racist shouts began even as the team was leaving the bus. They continued during the match. Social media users note that when Vinicius received the ball, the stands echoed with phrases like, "Die, dumb monkey" and "You black fool."

The first reaction came in the 69th minute. The forward was dribbling past an opponent on the wing, but the game had to be stopped. The reason was that Valencia fans had thrown another ball onto the field, which ended up with Vinicius. Defender Eder Militao took advantage of the situation and kicked the ball back into play. This infuriated Vinicius. He approached the stands and began pointing at someone with his finger amid loud whistles and insults.

At that moment, tears welled up in the Brazilian's eyes. Everyone had to calm him down – teammates, opponents – and a message appeared on the scoreboard condemning all forms of discrimination. The game was interrupted for eight minutes but then resumed.

The natural heat started at the end. Rudiger pushed Musa, who wanted to retaliate, and Vinicius ended up nearby. A few seconds later, a scuffle broke out. Ugo Duro grabbed the Real Madrid player by the throat and received a punch in return. The referee showed Vinicius a red card. The Brazilian left the field amidst sarcastic applause.

Afterward, fiery quotes followed. Vinicius criticized La Liga, and Ancelotti defended the player, but the league president sharply responded to the Brazilian.

Immediately after the match, the Real Madrid striker posted a strong statement on social media:

"It wasn't the first time, the second, or the third. Racism is the norm in La Liga. The competition considers it normal, the Federation as well, and the opponents encourage it. I am deeply sorry. The championship that once belonged to Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Cristiano, and Messi is now in the hands of racists. A beautiful nation that welcomed me and that I love but has accepted exporting the image of a racist country to the world. I'm sorry for the Spaniards who disagree, but today, in Brazil, Spain is known as a country of racists. And unfortunately, due to everything that happens every week, I can't defend it. I agree. But I am strong and will go to the end against the racists. Even if it's from afar."

Ancelotti also delivered a powerful speech at the press conference.

"I don't want to discuss football today. What happened to Vinicius is unacceptable. Removing a player because of a hostile atmosphere in the stadium is wrong. I should change a player because of poor performance, not racism. But what happened today has happened before, although not in this form. It's 2023 now – racism should not exist. The only solution is to stop games. The referee said a specific protocol existed, but the stadium called the player a monkey. What else should I say? I am unfortunate," he said.

La Liga has already announced the start of an investigation into the match's events, but President Javier Tebas went against the majority. Instead of supporting Vinicius, he criticized him: "We tried to explain to you what La Liga is and what it can do in cases of racism, but you didn't come on either of the two agreed-upon dates that you requested," Tebas wrote.

The player responded, "Once again, instead of criticizing racists, the president of La Liga appears on social media to attack me... I am not your friend to talk about racism. I want actions and punishments."

Interestingly, even the President of Brazil intervened. He supported his compatriot and asked FIFA, UEFA, and La Liga to investigate the incident.

Vinicius' entourage recommends that he leave Madrid

Immediately after the incident, the Brazilian version of ESPN released an insider report stating that Vinicius' entourage recommended that he leave Real Madrid due to numerous racist scandals during matches. The website also added that the player is angry about what happened but is leaning toward staying with the club.

Fabrizio Romano added that Vinicius has no intention of leaving Real Madrid and has already extended his contract with the club. AS reported that the agreement was reached last year and is valid until the summer of 2027, but neither party has officially announced it.

In any case, the Brazilian will finish this season, although he will miss the next match. He will be waiting for the decision of the league. He is unlikely to want to find himself in such a situation again.
