The legend of Real Madrid refuses to sign the shirt of his former club

Former Real Madrid player Sergio Ramos has refused to sign the shirt of his former club.

Sergio Ramos, a defender for the Spanish team Sevilla, declined to sign a Real Madrid shirt for a fan, even though he played for the Madrid club for 16 years. A video of Ramos sitting in a car, signing shirts, and pushing away the Real Madrid jersey went viral on social media.

The footballer explained his action by citing the mercenary behavior of some fans. "Up to this point, I've already signed about six Real Madrid shirts. And then some people put them up for auction or sell them on the internet," Ramos wrote on his social media account.

Ramos, 37, played for Los Blancos from 2005 to 2021, winning the UEFA Champions League four times and the La Liga title five times with Real Madrid. He also won the World Cup and was a two-time European champion with the Spanish national team.
