The first four teams in the league are sent directly to the Champions League group in England, Spain, Italy, and Germany. However, it is likely that in Italy, only the first three teams of the championship will receive a ticket to the main club tournament in Europe. Several things must coincide for the fourth team in Serie A to lose their place in the Champions League.

Today, Inter and Milan continue to fight in the Champions League. One of these teams will be in the final of the tournament. In the semi-finals of the Europa League, Juventus and Roma play, which can meet each other in the final. The winner of both tournaments, according to UEFA rules, receives a guaranteed ticket to the next season of the Champions League. If the Champions League and Europe League win the Italian teams that did not get into the top 4 of Serie A, then the fourth team must be content with a place in the Europa League. Now in the Italian championship, there is such a density that there needs to be an understanding of who will take classes from the second to the seventh inclusive.

For example, we can take the teams' current position in the league. Roma are in fifth place, and Inter are in sixth. If everyone stays where they are and these two clubs win the Europa League and the Champions League, then Italy's fourth team will be in for a big disappointment.

As a recent example, Real Madrid's win over Liverpool in the final kept Betis (fifth in La Liga) from qualifying for the Champions League.
