Scandalous Fight Between Mbappe & PSG President Before Move to Real Madrid: What Happened & How It Ended

Kylian Mbappe's departure from Paris Saint-Germain to Real Madrid is surrounded by scandalous details.

On Friday, May 10, Mbappe officially announced that he would leave PSG as a free agent at the end of the season. In his farewell message, Kylian did not mention the president of the Parisian club, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, which deeply offended the executive. On May 12, PSG played a home match against Toulouse. According to Le Parisien, Al-Khelaifi demanded an explanation from Mbappe before the game about why he didn't mention him in the video while thanking everyone else: coaches, directors, stewards, and fans.

The president's and player's argument quickly escalated into a heated exchange and ended in physical confrontation — shouts were heard from the private room. One witness reported that "the walls in the room were shaking." Despite this, Mbappe started the match and scored the opening goal in the 8th minute. PSG ultimately lost to Toulouse (1-3), but it didn't matter as the Parisians had already secured the championship.

After the match, PSG's head coach, Luis Enrique, while speaking with journalists, seemed to deliberately praise Mbappe's "excellent behavior." The club's management likely realized that the fight between the player and the president could seriously damage the latter's reputation. Therefore, PSG did everything to suppress the conflict in its early stages.

"It was an honor to coach Kylian Mbappe," said Enrique. "He was always perfect — a role model. I can't say anything bad about him. I have no complaints against him. His behavior was excellent."
