Ronaldo Explains Penalty Miss Against Denmark

Al Nassr and Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo has explained his missed penalty in the UEFA Nations League quarter-final second-leg match against Denmark.

The striker failed to convert a penalty early in the match, but his miss did not prevent his team from winning and advancing to the semi-finals.

"I felt that even after the missed penalty — after all, only those who attempt to score can miss — we would still advance," Record quotes Ronaldo.

Ultimately, Portugal secured a 5-2 victory after extra time. The regular time ended 3-2 in their favor, but Denmark had won the first leg (1-0).

Ronaldo himself eventually scored from open play, continuing to extend his record for the most international goals in a career.
