Portuguese League Stadium Cut Off from Power Due to Debt
The home stadium of Boavista, a top-flight Portuguese football club, has been disconnected from the power grid due to unpaid bills, according to A Bola.
The report states that Boavista’s home ground in Porto has been without electricity since Wednesday. As a result, the team has been forced to train outside the city.
The organization and hosting of the upcoming home match in the Portuguese league against Sporting depends on whether the debt is settled and services are restored in time. The fixture, part of Matchday 31 of the league, is scheduled for April 27.
Despite the situation, the club continues to sell tickets for the upcoming game.
