The doping test of French midfielder Paul Pogba, who plays for Juventus, conducted after the 1st round match of the Italian Serie A, has shown a positive result. This was reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport.

In the 1st round of the 2023/2024 Italian championship season, Juventus played an away game against Udinese. The game ended with a 3-0 victory for the Turin club. Pogba did not take the field; he spent the entire match on the substitute bench.

Paul Pogba was found to have a significantly elevated level of testosterone. This substance cannot be taken without therapeutic exemption. Consequently, Pogba risks receiving the maximum penalty of a four-year suspension.

Juventus occupies the third position in the Serie A standings after three rounds.
