Messi talked about the challenges of adapting to life in Miami
Inter Miami forward and Argentine national team player Lionel Messi spoke about the difficulties of adapting to life in Miami.
«So far, we can't complain about anything. Perhaps the most challenging aspect of adaptation is the traffic. Although it was also difficult in Paris with traffic.
One could mention the heat and humidity. Being here on the beach or on vacation can be pleasant. But from a sports perspective, with training and matches, especially in the summer, it's a bit too much, and it's noticeable,» Messi told Time.
Today, on December 5th, Messi was named the athlete of the year by the American magazine Time. In 2023, Lionel won the Ballon d'Or award, his eighth overall. Additionally, with PSG, he won the French Ligue 1 and the French Super Cup. Meanwhile, with Inter Miami, Lionel secured the first trophy for the American team – the League Cup.
This summer, Messi moved from French PSG to American Inter Miami, owned by former Manchester United player David Beckham. In 14 matches in all competitions, the Argentine scored 11 goals and provided five assists.
