Messi and Ronaldo to Join Forces at Inter Miami This Summer — Maybe
In what would be a historic moment for football, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo might finally play on the same team this summer, according to Goal.com.
Currently, Ronaldo plays for Saudi club Al-Nassr, which won’t be participating in the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup. With his next contract still up in the air, there's a possibility that the Portuguese star could sign a short-term deal with Inter Miami to take part in the tournament.
The report claims that both Messi and Ronaldo are open to forming a dream attacking duo for the American club, though no official agreement has been reached yet.
The expanded Club World Cup, featuring 32 of the best teams from around the globe, will take place in the United States from June 15 to July 13.
