Manchester City – Among the Top Seven Candidates for Relegation from the EPL

Manchester City is listed among the potential candidates for relegation from the English Premier League by the end of the current season.

On Saturday, the Citizens narrowly defeated Southampton, taking the top spot in the standings with 23 points after nine rounds. Two points behind, Liverpool has yet to play its game — the Reds are set to face Arsenal on Sunday.

As noted by Squawka, the leading relegation candidate based on current standings is Southampton, positioned last with just one point. Ipswich and Leicester complete the bottom three, followed by Wolverhampton, Everton, and Crystal Palace. Manchester City and West Ham share the seventh spot among the season's most likely strugglers. However, in City's case, this is not due to on-field results – experts are considering the possible penalties following hearings on 115 financial violations.
