James Milner, along with three other Liverpool stars, will depart from the club when their contracts expire at the end of the season, as officially announced by the Premier League club.

Milner, who holds the third position in the list of all-time Premier League appearance-makers, is among the four players who will be leaving Anfield later this summer. The other players out of contract are Roberto Firmino, Naby Keita, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Liverpool stated: "We can confirm that Roberto Firmino, Naby Keita, James Milner, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be leaving the club upon the expiration of their contracts this summer. Special acknowledgements will be made to the quartet at Anfield, with further tributes to follow at the end of the season."

Milner, who has been linked with potential moves to Brighton and his hometown club Leeds, has spent eight years at Anfield. He made his Premier League debut for Leeds at the age of 16 in 2002 and has also had stints at Newcastle, Aston Villa, and Manchester City before joining Liverpool in 2015. In total, he has made 617 appearances in the Premier League, ranking behind Gareth Barry (652) and Ryan Giggs (632) on the all-time list.

The quartet may have their final appearances during the remaining two games of the season, with Liverpool facing Aston Villa on Saturday and Southampton on Sunday, May 28th.
