Kylian Mbappé Will Move To Real Madrid. The Number Of Authoritative Sources With This Information Is Overwhelming

The summer will not be as fun as anticipated.

The endless series with Kylian Mbappé in the lead role seems nearing its conclusion. The Frenchman has made a decision about his future. The 25-year-old forward, whose contract with PSG expires at the end of the current season, will indeed leave Paris for Madrid. Numerous authoritative sources confirm this information.

According to Le Parisien, Mbappé has decided to move to Real Madrid as a free agent and has already informed PSG's management. He will not renew the contract with the French champions. The world's top insider, Fabrizio Romano, also confirmed the news of the impending transfer.

"Behind the scenes, Real Madrid is working hard and negotiating to sign a contract with Mbappé. Real Madrid started this," wrote Romano on social media.

As reported by the Spanish outlet Relevo, Real Madrid's president, Florentino Perez, wants Mbappé's transfer to be a reputational blow to Barcelona, which is facing financial difficulties and struggling to convince new players to join the club. Perez aims to unveil the reconstructed Santiago Bernabéu stadium by signing a new "galactico."

According to Marca, Mbappé will announce his departure from PSG in February. Meanwhile, Real Madrid's press office released a video on Saturday, February 2, which was considered an announcement of Mbappé's transfer. The video displayed the publication date and the caption "new."

New details about Real Madrid's agreement with Mbappé are emerging. According to ESPN, the Madrid club is unwilling to pay Mbappé significantly more than Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham earn. Real Madrid's stars earn around €10.5 million per year. However, Bild reported a few days ago that Mbappé is asking for a salary of €70 million per year. Perez is unwilling to pay more than €35 million per year before taxes.

Additionally, Mbappé's family is requesting €100-125 million in bonuses, plus bonuses for the player's mother, who acts as the player's agent. In this case, Mbappé's signing would cost Real Madrid €450 million. It is also known that Mbappé will receive a signing bonus proportionate to the contract's length after the transfer.

Finally, L'Équipe reported that Real Madrid did not set a deadline for Mbappé but would like the forward to decide quickly to avoid a situation similar to 2022. In case of Mbappé's refusal, the Madrid club would change priorities (including the possibility of a transfer for Erling Haaland from Manchester City). If Mbappé agrees, written guarantees will be requested, presumably as a signed pre-contract.

Meanwhile, ESPN shares interesting details, confirming Mbappé's transfer to Real Madrid in the summer of 2024. According to the source, PSG offered Mbappé a new contract with a salary increase, which he declined in favor of moving to Madrid. Currently, Mbappé earns €72 million per year. By leaving PSG, Mbappé will also forgo the €100 million in bonuses specified in his contract. Until the last moment, Mbappé did not inform PSG's leadership that he would accept Real Madrid's offer. Hence, the French champions developed two possible scenarios – one for the player's departure and one for extending his contract.

Another exciting piece of news: Real Madrid has offered Mbappé the number 10 shirt, currently worn by Luka Modric (information from Sports Zone). The Croatian may leave the Madrid club at the end of the season. Despite signing Mbappé, Real Madrid has no plans to part with Vinicius Junior or Jude Bellingham, contrary to rumors. Marca says the club wants to keep and accommodate all three stars on the field. Sky Sports reported that Vinicius Junior could be sold to Manchester United, with the English club reportedly willing to pay £135 million for the Brazilian. According to Metro, the Brazilian opposes Mbappé's signing to avoid being relegated to a secondary role. After the Frenchman's transfer, he will try to leave Madrid.

Mbappé, responding to a question about his future in mid-January, avoided giving a specific answer. "I am thinking about continuing my career, following my own path," said Kylian. However, the French forward apparently already knew his next move.
